# SQL Server Database Administrator

What You'll Do Keep the platform healthy. Monitor and support Microsoft SQL Server environments, covering availability, performance, storage, backups, SQL Agent jobs, telemetry collection and overall platform health. Troubleshoot and tune. Diagnose T-SQL issues, tune queries, manage indexes and statistics, and perform routine maintenance. Protect the data. Run and validate backups, perform test and production restores, and support recovery activities in line with business continuity requirements. Own the alerts. Monitor, triage, classify and investigate alerts using Azure Log Analytics, Application Insights and other operational tools. Run operations with discipline. Follow approved runbooks, maintain accurate incident tickets, communicate status clearly, deliver complete shift handoffs, and escalate critical or unresolved issues promptly.
