These documents describe critical requirements related to utilities, facilities, cooling, power, and other installation interfaces. Today, reviewing and validating these large document packages is a manual process that can take up to three weeks and requires extensive expert effort. Because even small mistakes can lead to quality risks, delays, and significant costs, the team is looking for opportunities to improve both speed and accuracy. During this internship, you will explore how Artificial Intelligence can help automate document reviews and support faster, more reliable decision-making.\nYour assignment\nIn this internship, you will investigate how AI can be applied to automate the review of customer requirement documentation. You will develop a proof of concept that demonstrates how AI can identify inconsistencies, implementation errors, and review findings that currently require significant manual effort. Working closely with stakeholders across multiple teams, you will evaluate where automation adds value and where expert review remains necessary. Your main responsibilities will be:\nDevelop a proof of concept for AI-supported document review\nBuild Python-based solutions to detect inconsistencies and errors\nEvaluate which review activities can be automated and which require expert input\nValidate the performance and reliability of AI-generated review results\nCollaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and feedback\nDeliver recommendations for scaling and implementing the solution\nThis is a bachelor/master (non-thesis) internship for minimum 5 months, minimum 4 days per week (4 days on-site, flexibility where needed). The start date of this internship is as of February 2027.\nYour profile\nTo be suitable for the internship, you:\nAre pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a related field\nHave experience with Python programming\nHave knowledge of AI, machine learning, or AI-powered development tools through projects, coursework, or personal initiatives\nAre analytical, independent, and proactive in driving your work forward\nHave strong attention to detail and are comfortable working with technical documentation\nCommunicate clearly in English and collaborate effectively with different stakeholders\nOther requirements you need to meet:\nYou are enrolled at an educational institute for the entire duration of the internship, and you are at least 18 years old at the start of the internship;\nIf you are a non-EU citizen, studying in the Netherlands, your university is willing to sign the documents relevant for doing an internship (i.e., Nuffic agreement);\nYou attach your cover letter with a clear motivation on why you are interested in this internship assignment in particular;\nYou need to be located in the Netherlands to be perform your internship.
