In this internship, you will help transform technical analyses and risk assessments into practical response plans. Your work will contribute to faster, safer, and more coordinated decision-making across multiple business functions. This internship offers direct operational impact and exposure to complex industrial processes.\n Your assignment\nIn this internship, you will develop practical business continuity playbooks for five critical bulk gases. You will work with experts from engineering, manufacturing, operations, safety, and supplier organizations to create clear response procedures for disruption scenarios. The objective is to ensure that critical decisions can be made consistently, efficiently, and safely when supply challenges occur. Your main responsibilities will be:\nAnalyze bulk-gas supply chains, infrastructure, and critical user dependencies\nTranslate disruption scenarios into operational impacts and business consequences\nDevelop step-by-step response playbooks for different supply disruption situations\nDefine decision points, responsibilities, and escalation pathways\nEvaluate temporary supply alternatives and operational mitigation measures\nValidate playbooks with technical experts, suppliers, and business stakeholders\nRecommend actions that improve operational readiness during the transition period\nThis is a master's internship for minimum 5 months, minimum 4 days per week (3 days on-site). The start date of this internship is as of February 2027.\n Your profile\nTo be suitable for the internship, you:\nAre pursuing a master’s degree in chemical engineering, process engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or a related technical discipline\nHave strong analytical skills and can structure complex technical information\nAre proactive and take ownership of assigned responsibilities\nCommunicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders\nAre collaborative and comfortable working across different teams\nCan translate technical analysis into practical and executable solutions\nThe internship is ideal for students who enjoy solving complex operational challenges with real business impact. You will gain experience at the intersection of process engineering, risk management, operational decision-making, and business continuity. You will directly contribute to ASML’s ability to respond effectively to supply disruptions while supporting a safe and reliable manufacturing environment.
