Storing this data in a structured, reliable, and future-proof way, while making it easily accessible for querying, analysis, performance tracking, and reporting, is essential to our work. This internship focuses on developing a data platform that supports these activities and helps engineers gain valuable insights from complex datasets. You will contribute to a solution with a direct impact on the development of advanced semiconductor technology.\nYour assignment\nAs an intern, you will work with our design team to develop a data platform for measurement and performance data. You will investigate the data generated by our systems and determine how it can best be structured, stored, and accessed to support current and future querying, analysis, performance tracking, and reporting needs. You will have the opportunity to design and implement the solution from the ground up, with the freedom to explore suitable technologies and approaches that best support our engineering needs.\nYour main responsibilities will be:\nAnalyze measurement and performance data generated by our systems;\nDefine an effective structure for storing and organizing data;\nExplore suitable data-storage technologies and database architectures;\nDesign and implement a scalable data platform and database solution;\nEnable efficient querying and access to data for analysis and reporting;\nSupport the use of measurement and performance data to monitor system performance over time;\nCollaborate with engineers to ensure the solution meets current and future requirements.\nThis is a master thesis or non-thesis internship for minimum 5 months, 5 days per week (2 days on-site). The start date of this internship is as of February or March 2027.\nYour profile\nTo be suitable for the internship, you:\nAre currently enrolled in a master's degree program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field;\nHave completed a bachelor's degree and are continuing your studies in a master's degree program;\nHave experience with Python programming;\nHave an interest in databases, data engineering, and data management;\nDemonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills;\nAre collaborative and proactive in a multidisciplinary environment;\nAre curious and eager to contribute to complex and impactful technology projects.\nOther requirements you need to meet:\nYou are enrolled at an educational institute for the entire duration of the internship, and you are at least 18 years old at the start of the internship;\nIf you are a non-EU citizen, studying in the Netherlands, your university is willing to sign the documents relevant for doing an internship (i.e., Nuffic agreement);\nYou attach your cover letter with a clear motivation on why you are interested in this internship assignment in particular;\nYou need to be located in the Netherlands to be perform your internship.
