You will design the electrical infrastructure that connects powers our machines, including cables, racks, cabinets, interconnection boards and supporting schematics.\nYour work will directly support machine performance, smooth integration and predictable product delivery. You will balance electrical safety, electromagnetic compatibility, manufacturability, serviceability and system-level requirements throughout the design process.\nThe role also offers opportunities to expand into adjacent areas in power electronics such as board design, firmware, integration, control and test equipment. You can deepen your design ownership while building a broader view across technical disciplines and product interfaces.\nRole and responsibilities\nAs an electrical connectivity design engineer, you will develop complex electrical solutions from requirements through qualification and handover. You will collaborate with architects, engineers, suppliers, manufacturing and service teams to deliver designs that work reliably in practice.\nDefine and maintain electrical connectivity designs for modules and cabinets, including cables, racks, interconnection boards and schematics.\nTranslate requirements into robust solutions by aligning with electrical architects, adjacent engineering disciplines and integration teams.\nCreate and maintain clear technical documentation, including functional overviews, block diagrams, wiring diagrams and cable-bundle overviews.\nImprove design quality by identifying risks early and meeting electrical safety, electromagnetic compatibility and relevant international standards.\nSupport prototype builds, product qualification and supplier execution by providing technical guidance and resolving design issues.\nContribute to solutions involving power electronics, printed circuit board assemblies, firmware, integration, control or test equipment when needed.\nShare knowledge with manufacturing and service engineers, analyze reliability issues, coach colleagues and occasionally visit suppliers in the Eindhoven region.\nEducation and experience\nBachelor’s degree or higher in electrical engineering or an equivalent technical field.\nAt least three years of experience in electrical connectivity design or a closely related electrical design role.\nExperience in power electronics\nExperience completing at least one full design cycle for a complex high-tech product or system.\nTechnical knowledge of electrical and electronic module design, including cables, racks, cabinets and interconnection boards.\nBroad understanding of electronics and its interfaces with physics, mechanics, mechatronics and software.\nExperience as a technical leader in multidisciplinary design teams, aligning technical direction and specifications with varied stakeholders.\nAbility to work independently on complex assignments and make practical design choices within agreed boundaries.\nSkills\nWorking at the cutting edge of technology means facing new challenges and solving them together.
