You ensure that our systems work as they should - and be part of the technology innovation that’s moving the world forward. You’ll be a technical expert who will work with coworkers, customer & field support in isolating and solving problems to maintain and optimize equipment on a daily basis enhancing functionality and prevent problems. You will act as a resource for users on routine malfunctions and will be responsible for the necessary transfer of know-how to the customer.\nRole and Responsibilities\nAnalyzes, diagnoses, and troubleshoots Cymer equipment problems via telephone or at customer site.\n\nPerforms installation, repair, retrofits, upgrades and preventive maintenance on Cymer equipment installed at customer sites.\n\nMaintains an assigned installation equipment base. This includes providing primary support, forecasting, conducting customer support meetings, and ensuring regular communication with the customer.\n\nMay provide service education to customer’s service and operations staff.\n\nEnsures that parts are available and as specified for service requirements and maintains appropriate tools are on hand and as required.\n\nCompletes service, expense reports, and other administrative responsibilities in accordance with Cymer’s procedures and with supervisor’s approval.\n\nEducation and Experience\nTo help us tackle the technical challenges we face, you’ll need experience working on high-tech products and with complex processes. As a Field Service engineer, you’ll need:\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent experience is required.\n\n3-5 years of technical experience working with electronics is required.\n\nAbility to apply advanced knowledge of installation, maintenance/repair, and troubleshooting at both the module and system level, while seeking expertise of more senior field service engineers, is required.\n\nRequires experience using the following software packages: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and electronic e-mail systems, LabView.\n\nOral and written English language skills required.\n\nMust be able to successfully meet customer site access requirements such as: background checks, safety training, and cleanroom access (gowning and breathing apparatus).\n\nSkills\nWorking at the cutting edge of tech, you’ll always have new challenges and new problems to solve - and working together is the only way to do that. You’ll have the flexibility and trust to choose how best to tackle tasks and solve problems.\nTo thrive in this job, you’ll need the following skills:\nCymer laser experience is highly preferred.\n\nAbility to read and analyze opto-mechanical and electronic schematics.\n\nStrong customer focus and commitment to customer satisfaction through prioritization, quality, efficiency and professionalism.\n\nProven ability to perform effectively in a demanding environment with changing workloads and deadlines and has the ability to identifies bottleneck and drive improvements.\n\nHas led one installation or significantly contributed to the successful installation of products at multiple sites.\n\nAbility to analyze data and report problems, to complete accurate, comprehensive service reports, and to communicate technical issues to other technical staff.\n\nExcellent customer service skills, with a solid foundation in and an understanding of the importance of relationship building.\n\nOther Information\nTravels as required for the purposes of performing service activities at customer sites or backfilling for other Cymer Field Service Engineers.\n\nRoutinely required to sit; walk; talk; hear; use hands to keyboard, finger, handle, and feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, and stretch.\n\nOccasionally required to move around the campus.\n\nOccasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.\n\nSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.\n\nThe current base annual hourly range for this role is currently:\n$0-0Pay scales are determined by role, level, location and alignment with market data.
