Our headquarters are in Veldhoven, Netherlands, and we have 18 office locations around the United States including main offices in Chandler, Arizona, San Jose and San Diego, California, Wilton, Connecticut, and Hillsboro, Oregon.\nJob Mission\nAs a Design and Engineering (D&E) Lab Technician, this role will support product development by performing hands-on build, prototyping, proof-of-concept, diagnostic and troubleshooting testing, of electrical and mechanical systems, in a consistent, repeatable, safe and efficient manner. Another key responsibility is to support at least one of ASML’s development labs which includes maintaining testing equipment, instrumentation, and tooling in a ready state, including but not limited to calibration tracking, configuration management of test stands and test equipment, and safety monitoring as well as other tasks in support of projects and production operations. The third primary responsibility is ownership, planning, and scheduling activities within the lab, and maintaining the lab with a 5S environment. Basic computer skills are required for test stand operation, as well as for scheduling and communicating with customers.\nThis position may require access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). As a condition of employment, qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require the Company to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.\nLab Management and Coordination Responsibilities:\nServe as the owner (i.e., steward) of one or more ASML D&E laboratories.\nProcess requests for lab space, lab equipment, or lab technician project support received through the Wilton D&E Lab Request App or as assigned.\nMaintain proactive communication with lab customers regarding Lab Request status, scheduling, unanticipated circumstances, or needed changes to their tests.\nSupport, train, and supervise users on the correct use of communal lab equipment. (Note: Lab Ownership does not equate to Tool Ownership-many Tools within D&E Labs have Tool Owners that are not Lab Owners.) \nSupport the setup and operation of test equipment, data collection, and analysis.\nActively participate in regular alignment and/or lab operation excellence meetings.\nWork without direct supervision and manage priority of multiple tasks.\nMaintain positive attitude and role model ASML values of Collaborate, Challenge, and Care.\nProvide cross-lab support to colleagues as needed.\nPromote the use of the HTC SharePoint page to inform customers of lab Ways of Working (WoW) and space request processes.\nReview and keep the information on the lab’s SharePoint page current and accurate.\nWork with Office and Lab Space Support to keep floor plan up-to-date.\nApprove Lab Access Requests on a timely manner, enabling qualified requestors to gain badge access to the lab.\nEnsure project activities are appropriately identified with signage (e.g., the 1st page of lab request).\nOperate hoisting /lifting equipment, where appropriate and when properly trained and authorized.\nMaintain certification and operate as an Informed Electrical Worker (IEW).\nPurchase general-use lab supplies, consumables, and support equipment.\nEnsure lab equipment and facilities are in good working order and coordinate repairs when required.\nMaintain the calibration status of the lab and lab equipment per ASML and ISO requirements.\nMaintain equipment inventory. \nEnable lab technicians and lab users to follow ASML WoW, PPE, 5LSR, Green Tag, LOTO, and other safety policies.\nAlign with EHS to ensure clarity regarding required safety trainings prior to granting lab access.\nPerform safety and housekeeping audits and respond to findings in a reasonable time frame.\nStore, handle, and dispose of project-related materials in accordance with applicable procedures and requirements.\nMaintain test benches, prototypes, and miscellaneous hardware. \nPromote 5S+1 (Sort, Set, Shine, Standardize, Sustain, and Safety), keeping the laboratory safe and organized.\n Technical Responsibilities:\nRead, understand, and execute using wiring diagrams, schematics, blueprints, and electrical/mechanical technical documentation.\nAssemble, wire, and commission test stands and/or electrical cabinets, where appropriate. \nUse standard mechanical and electrical tools and/or gauges.\nFabricate and/or assemble advanced mechanical and/or electrical assemblies/functional models (FUMO), where appropriate.\nApply an analytical and pragmatic approach to troubleshooting.\nApply knowledge to solve problems according to documented procedures or professional expertise, as needed.\nIdentify, initiate, and support continuous improvement activities / optimize assigned project activities.\nSpecify and operate advanced instrumentation (mixed-signal oscilloscopes, mechanical alignment and metrology tools, programmable power supplies, climatic chambers, optical alignment tools, thermal test equipment, data acquisition modules, etc.)\nComply with applicable UL, OSHA, and NFPA standards and regulations.\n 3D Rapid Prototyping Responsibilities\nPre-process and run laser-cut and 3D print files.\nPost-process fabricated prototypes, including material removal, threaded insert installation, and SLA print washing.\nSort parts by jobs and deliver them to the designated pick-up area.\nOrder and maintain material stock, including filament, threaded inserts, laser-cutting materials, spare parts, and solvent.\nEnsure proper handling and disposal of materials and solvents.\nPerform machine maintenance, including lubrication, cleaning, part replacement/adjustment, and software updates.\nCoordinate outsourcing of jobs to external rapid prototyping suppliers, as needed.\nPerform simple 3D model modification.\nBuild simple jigs.\nProvide technical consultation for rapid prototyping (manufacturability, design).\nEducation and experience\nHigh School Degree with 5 years relevant work experience\nHigh School Degree and Technical Certification (i.e. Electronic Technician) with 3 years relevant work experience\nAssociates Degree with 3 years relevant work experience\nBachelor’s Degree in Engineering, electrical or mechanical, with 2 years relevant work experience\n Minimum qualifications -
