You ensure that electrical subcomponents work together seamlessly by selecting the right interfaces, maintaining reliable power distribution and safeguarding communication signal integrity. A key focus of this role is owning and continuously improving electrical design documentation, including cable overviews and detailed wiring definitions, while also supporting electrical system integration and verification activities throughout the product lifecycle.\nRole and responsibilities\nAs part of a multidisciplinary development team, you will be responsible for the design, documentation and integration of electrical connectivity solutions for qualification tools and test rigs. You will work closely with stakeholders across Development & Engineering to ensure solutions are reliable, manufacturable, testable and ready for future product needs.\nAs an Electrical Connectivity Design Engineer, you will:\nOwn, define, document and maintain electrical modules, wiring infrastructure, cable overviews and detailed wiring designs.\nRepresent Electronic Development within multidisciplinary project teams and collaborate with stakeholders across multiple departments.\nPerform trade-off studies and drive technical decisions for new or changed electrical functions while aligning with stakeholders.\nImprove electrical architectures by focusing on integrability, manufacturability, testability and reliability.\nCreate work breakdowns and effort estimates, and support development activities with external co-developers when needed.\nSupport test rig integration, troubleshooting and verification activities, including electrical measurements and validation of requirements.\nContribute to the imaging test rig roadmap and support EMC testing and documentation activities.\nEducation and experience\nWe are looking for an engineer with a solid electrical engineering background and experience working in complex multidisciplinary environments. Experience with electrical connectivity design and technical documentation is essential.\nBachelor’s degree or higher in electrical engineering or a related field.\nMultiple years of experience designing electronic functions and working within multidisciplinary development teams.\nExperience defining specifications and aligning technical solutions with multiple stakeholders.\nBroad knowledge of electronics combined with basic understanding of physics, mechanics, mechatronics and software.\nExperience with electrical infrastructure, wiring definitions or connectivity design.\nExperience supporting system integration, verification or qualification activities.\nKnowledge of PCB design is considered a plus.\nSkills\nWorking at the cutting edge of tech, you'll always have new challenges and new problems to solve, and working together is the only way to do that. Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work.
