Working closely with material planning, warehouse operators, and the logistics team, a shift planner coordinates material flow and validates on time in full material readiness into the work center.\nIn conjunction with the Production Planning department, working within, and understanding the production process, plant procedures, equipment capabilities and flow of goods within the facility by providing ready to execute detailed plans based on all constraints, actual work in progress and buffer status daily.\nThe Manufacturing sector within the Wilton Factory (WF) is responsible for the production of EXE, NXE, DUV, and APPS systems. The Shift Planner reports to the Manufacturing Planning Team/Group Lead and works closely with Manufacturing (workstream owners, operators, and TLs/GLs), Sourcing & Supply Chain Management, Material Handling, Warehouse and Production Logistics teams.\nResponsibilities\nResponsible for the planning, monitoring, and adjustment of production activities of assigned areas so that the agreed production plan is realized with optimized work-in-progress and stock levels\n\nCoordinate with the warehouse and logistics team to ensure material is available for production on time in full\n\nSecure material availability for planned production activities within the 4 week horizon, mitigating and escalating shortages\n\nAttend Tier meeting and escalate risks to the production planner\n\nResponsible for the report out of production progress, pro-actively identifying risks and impact to output and planned production starts for the next week, and escalating risk to the production planner\n\nInitiate and provide input to improve cycle times and delivery processes within the factory\n\nNavigate and input information in ERP\n\nMinimum Required Education, Experience, and Skills\nOne year of work experience in a manufacturing environment\n\nSix months of SAP or comparable ERP system\n\nKnowledge of Lean Methodology or other continuous improvement methods\n\nAbility to work independently; as well as part of a team\n\nStrong written and verbal communication skills; demonstrated ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders; peers, customers, natural teams while maintaining a strong customer focus and professionalism\n\nPreferred Education\nBachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, supply chain management, or communications\n\nAPICS certifications in manufacturing planning, supply chain, project management, engineering, or master data configuration\n\nOther information\nThis position is located on-site in Wilton, CT and requires onsite presence.\n\nRoutinely required to sit; walk; talk; hear; use hands to keyboard, finger, handle and feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach and stretch\n\nOccasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds\n\nOccasionally required to move around the campus and must be willing to work in a clean room environment for the entire duration of the shift, wearing coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses, and gloves.\n\nSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.\n\nReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\n\nAdditional Responsibilities: There is potential for exposure to strong magnetic fields, high voltage and currents.The current base annual hourly range for this role is currently:\n$0-0Pay scales are determined by role, level, location and alignment with market data.
