As an intern, you will contribute directly to improving quality and operational excellence within ASML. \nYour assignment\nDuring this Internship, you will become part of a quality investigation team and take ownership of a structured root cause analysis. You will work with experienced quality professionals and stakeholders from different parts of the organization to understand why issues occur in the return flow of EUV mirrors and develop sustainable improvement recommendations. The outcome of your work will support better process performance, quality, and operational reliability. Your main responsibilities will be:\nDefine and structure the problem statement using established problem-solving methodologies \nCollect, organize, and analyze quantitative and qualitative data \nConduct stakeholder interviews to understand current processes and challenges \nIdentify root causes behind recurring issues in the mirror return flow \nValidate findings using data-driven problem-solving techniques \nDevelop practical recommendations for structural process improvements \nPresent conclusions and improvement proposals to key stakeholders and management \nThis is a bachelor's or master's thesis internship for minimum 5 months, minimum 5 days per week. The start date of this internship is as of February 2027. \nYour profile\nTo be suitable for the internship, you:\nAre pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in industrial engineering, operations management, technical business administration, or a closely related field \nHave experience with or knowledge of structured problem-solving methodologies such as Six Sigma, DMAIC, 8D, A3, or similar approaches \nAre analytical and able to translate data into clear insights and recommendations \nAre collaborative and communicate effectively with stakeholders from different backgrounds \nAre proactive and comfortable taking ownership of complex investigations \nThis Internship is particularly suited for students who enjoy solving complex operational challenges, uncovering root causes, and creating sustainable improvements.
