We are looking for a Mechatronics Engineering Intern interested in applying engineering fundamentals to real-world challenges in advanced precision systems.\nYou will work alongside experienced engineers on a real mechatronics or system-performance challenge, with the assignment tailored to your technical background and learning objectives.\nRoles and Responsibilities\nModeling and analyzing dynamic or mechatronic system behavior.\nUsing MATLAB/Simulink, Python, or similar engineering tools for simulation and data analysis.\nAnalyzing test and measurement data to understand system performance and identify potential root causes.\nSupporting structured troubleshooting and root-cause analysis of technical issues.\nPlanning and executing experiments, tests or validation activities in the lab or on ASML equipment.\nComparing measured behavior with models or expected system performance and developing practical recommendations.\nCollaborating with engineers across mechatronics, controls, mechanical, electrical, software and system disciplines.\nDocumenting your work and presenting your findings and recommendations to the engineering team.\nThe internship provides a combination of analysis, modeling and hands-on engineering, giving you the opportunity to see how engineering fundamentals are applied to complex high-performance systems.\nEducation and Experience\nYou are currently pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Controls, Applied Physics or a related technical field.\nYou bring:\nA strong interest in mechatronics, controls, dynamics and precision systems.\nExperience through coursework, projects or research in areas such as dynamic systems, feedback control, robotics, modeling, simulation or data analysis.\nFamiliarity with MATLAB/Simulink; experience with Python or similar engineering tools is a plus.\nStrong analytical and structured problem-solving skills.\nCuriosity and a willingness to investigate complex technical problems and understand their root causes.\nA hands-on mindset and willingness to work with engineering hardware and test setups when needed.\nGood communication skills and the ability to clearly explain technical results and conclusions.\nA collaborative mindset, willingness to learn and ability to independently drive an assigned task.\nPotential candidates will meet the education and experience requirements provided on the above job description and excel in completing the listed responsibilities for this role. All candidates receiving an offer of employment must successfully complete a background check and any other tests that may be required.\nThe current base hourly range for this role is currently:\n$18.00 to $48.00 per hour\nPay scales are determined by role, level, location and alignment with market data. Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of several factors that that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, relevant education and experience, certifications, abilities of the candidate and pay relative to other team members\nThis position may require access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work.
