Working at the intersection of Tax, Finance, and Statutory Reporting, you will help transform technical tax requirements into robust processes, effective controls, and meaningful business insights.\nThis role offers the opportunity to influence global tax operations, drive continuous improvement, and contribute to the quality and integrity of ASML's financial reporting environment.\nRole and responsibilities\nAs Manager tax accounting & compliance, you will join the Direct Tax team within ASML Business Services and collaborate closely with tax, finance, audit, and reporting professionals across the organization.\nYou be responsible for leading and overseeing worldwide tax accounting and provisioning activities, ensuring the completeness, accuracy, and timely reporting of current tax, deferred tax, uncertain tax positions, return-to-provision adjustments, and other significant tax accounting matters. You will drive continuous improvement across tax processes, systems, data quality, and reporting capabilities, act as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders on tax accounting and compliance matters and support team development through coaching, knowledge sharing, and technical guidance.\nIn this role, you will:\nCoordinate and review tax disclosures for external financial reporting, including IFRS reporting requirements and ASML Holding's Form 20-F, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements\nReview and assess tax positions of Dutch and EMEA legal entities for local GAAP and statutory reporting purposes, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and alignment with applicable tax and accounting requirements\nEnsure high-quality execution of corporate income tax compliance activities (including Pillar II) and support interactions with tax authorities, auditors, and regulatory bodies\nDeliver tax-related reporting, forecasting, and insights to support management decision-making\nMaintain and enhance a strong tax control framework, including SOX-related controls and compliance requirements\nPartner with Finance, Statutory Reporting, and Tax teams to strengthen legal entity governance and reporting quality\nTranslate tax policies and technical guidance into efficient operational processes, controls, and reporting solutions\nEducation and experience\nTo help us achieve our mission, you will need +10 years of relevant experience in tax/accounting, preferably in financial control or auditing/tax compliance environment. In addition, you possess the following qualifications:\nRequired\nMaster's degree in accounting, tax economics, finance, or a related field\nStrong experience in tax accounting, direct tax reporting, and tax compliance within a complex international environment\nIn-depth knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS tax accounting, including ASC 740 and IAS 12\nExperience with internal controls, governance, and regulatory compliance requirements\nAbility to effectively collaborate with stakeholders across different functions and geographies\nPreferred\nExperience with SAP or similar ERP systems.\nExperience with corporate income tax compliance in Europe\nExperience supporting statutory reporting, tax audits, and external reporting requirements\nExperience leading process improvement, automation, or transformation initiatives\nSkills\nStrong technical expertise in tax accounting, tax reporting, and corporate income tax compliance\nExcellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities\nAbility to simplify complex matters and translate them into practical business solutions\nStrong communication and stakeholder management skills\nProactive, structured, and quality-focused approach to work\nContinuous improvement mindset with a focus on efficiency, standardization, and control\nCollaborative and adaptable, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic international environment\nAbility to build credibility and influence across functions and organizational levels\nInclusion and diversity\nASML is an Equal Opportunity Employer that values and respects the importance of a diverse and inclusive workforce.
