This role focuses on improving inspection methods, reducing defects, and ensuring consistent execution of quality standards across manufacturing operations.\nYou will work closely with Production, Metrology, and Engineering teams to analyze data, resolve quality issues, and implement sustainable process improvements.\nRole and responsibilities:\nProcess Quality & Improvement\nAnalyze manufacturing and inspection data to identify trends, gaps, and improvement opportunities\nLead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (RCA/CAPA) for defects and nonconformances\nDrive continuous improvement initiatives focused on yield, defect reduction, and process stability\nSupport development and optimization of inspection methods and quality controls\nStandards & Compliance\nDevelop, update, and standardize work instructions and inspection criteria\nEnsure compliance with quality standards, procedures, and documentation requirements\nSupport internal and external audits to ensure readiness and conformance\nPromote consistency in defect evaluation and inspection practices across teams\nCross-Functional Collaboration\nPartner with Production, Metrology, and Engineering to resolve quality issues and improve workflows\nSupport Measurement System Analysis (MSA, GRR) and ensure inspection equipment accuracy and calibration\nAct as a key interface between manufacturing and engineering for quality-related topics\nData-Driven Decision Making\nMonitor and report key quality KPIs (yield, FPY, defects, escapes)\nLeverage data to drive actionable insights and influence operational decisions\nValidate effectiveness of corrective actions and ensure improvements are sustained\nEducation and experience:\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field (or equivalent experience: 4 years of experience in manufacturing quality)\n2+ years of experience in manufacturing quality, preferably in precision or optical fabrication environments\nExperience with quality tools such as RCA, FMEA, SPC, MSA, and CAPA\nFamiliarity with ISO9001/ISO14001 standards\nExperience working with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and data analysis tools\nSkills \nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail\nAbility to interpret complex data and translate into actionable improvements\nEffective communicator across technical and operational teams\nStrong ownership and accountability in driving issues to resolution\nAbility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic manufacturing environment\nThe current base annual salary range for this role is currently: $81,375 - $119,000\nAdditional Responsibilities: There is potential for exposure to strong magnetic fields, high voltage and currents.The current base annual salary range for this role is currently:\n$0-0Pay scales are determined by role, level, location and alignment with market data.
