This role requires hands-on experience in a high-tech manufacturing environment, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to lead small-scale projects independently. The position emphasizes continuous improvement, cross-functional collaboration, and technical leadership to ensure operational excellence.\nRoles and Responsibilities\nProcess Optimization & Continuous Improvement\nDevelop and optimize processes for NPI and volume manufacturing.\n\nImplement SPC for new products and monitor process stability.\n\nDrive structural improvements for recurring manufacturing issues and chronic quality challenges.\n\nManufacturing Process Development\nDevelop and maintain manufacturing procedures, technical work instructions, and process specifications.\n\nCreate and update process documentation, routings, and sequences for factory execution.\n\nRole model compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards.\n\nNew Product Introduction (NPI)\nSupport introduction of new products into production within a concurrent engineering environment.\n\nParticipate in design reviews, PFMEAs, and documentation reviews to ensure manufacturability.\n\nEvaluate and optimize tooling for NPI and volume manufacturing\n\nProduction Support & Troubleshooting\nProvide technical support assisting First Line Support (FLS) for production issues, including troubleshooting modules and driving to root cause resolution\n\nEvaluate and disposition parts with quality issues, validate supplier failure analysis reports, and implement corrective actions.\n\nProvide technical details and recommendations during root cause analysis (RCA) investigations and escalations.\n\nParticipate in DRB/MRB to drive structural solutions\n\nDrive small-scale Lean and Six Sigma improvement initiatives.\n\nPlanning & Control\nMaintain MRP controls for module production and support production planning activities.\n\nPerform cycle time analysis, capacity planning, and present findings to stakeholders.\n\nCollaboration & Communication\nWork closely with cross-functional teams to further industrialization\n\nCollaborate with internal teams and external customers regarding assembly and testing of components and final products.\n\nProvide clear and timely reporting on improvement actions, cycle time analysis, and project progress.\n\nDocument results, write procedures, and support qualification plans.\n\nEducation & Experience\nEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (or related field).\n\nExperience: 2-4 years in production engineering or process development.\n\nSolid understanding of SPC, PFMEA, and lean principles.\n\nProven ability to manage projects and deliver improvements.\n\nTechnical Requirements\nExperience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools (Kaizen, 5S, DMAIC).\n\nProficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, NX).\n\nStrong knowledge of manufacturing processes (machining, assembly, automation, material handling).\n\nStrong understanding of SPC, PFMEA, and root cause analysis methodologies.\n\nFamiliarity with ERP/MES systems for routing and documentation updates.\n\nCompetence in data analysis tools (Excel, Minitab, or similar statistical software).\n\nKnowledge of GD&T and ability to interpret complex engineering drawings.\n\nRole model of safety standards, compliance, and risk mitigation in manufacturing environments.\n\nHands-on experience with process validation and equipment qualification.\n\nKey Competencies\nStrong problem-solving and analytical skills.\n\nEffective communication and ability to influence cross-functional teams.\n\nAdaptability and resilience in a dynamic environment.\n\nProactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.\n\nCustomer focus and commitment to satisfaction.\n\nAbility to train and coach junior colleagues in technical problem-solving and process knowledge.\n\nProfessional, clear, concise communication.\n\nLeadership & Behavioral Competencies\nInfluences and support others based on professional knowledge.\n\nCoach and mentor junior colleagues.\n\nPresent technical matters effectively within competence groups and to key interfaces.\n\nProvide guidance, feedback, and demonstrate listening skills.\n\nCollaborate across sectors and maintain cooperative working relationships.\n\nTime Allocation\n25% in cleanroom assisting technicians and optimizing processes.\n\n15% documenting results and writing procedures.\n\n25% collaborating with Manufacturing Engineering on process recommendations and qualification plans.\n\n35% in meetings with Design Engineering for product design and qualification.\n\nAdditional Responsibilities: There is potential for exposure to strong magnetic fields, high voltage and currents.The current base annual salary range for this role is currently:\n$0-0Pay scales are determined by role, level, location and alignment with market data.
