Your work will help production teams build complex technology safely, accurately, and efficiently. You will guide tooling from requirements and early concepts through qualification, release, and ongoing production support.\nRole and Responsibilities\nYou will lead tooling design projects of varying complexity from concept through production. You will collaborate with production engineers, technical support teams, technicians, project leaders, and other partners to meet safety, quality, cost, and schedule requirements.\nDefine functional requirements and technical specifications with engineering teams, technicians, and internal customers.\nDevelop business cases, design proposals, risk assessments, and environmental, health, and safety reviews.\nDesign complex manufacturing tools, fixtures, and jigs that meet safety, ergonomic, and regulatory requirements.\nCreate detailed three-dimensional models and two-dimensional drawings using computer-aided design software.\nLead design reviews and apply tolerance, motion, material, structural, thermal, and performance analysis.\nRelease qualified designs with complete documentation for procurement, production, duplication, and lifecycle support.\nResolve advanced tooling issues, implement corrective actions, improve processes, and support investment planning.\nEducation and Experience\nTo succeed as a Senior Production Engineering Tooling Designer, you will need:\nA bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical, electrical, mechatronics, manufacturing engineering, or a related field.\nAt least five years of experience in manufacturing tooling design, production engineering, process development, or manufacturing.\nAt least three years of experience leading projects and improvement initiatives.\nProficiency with three-dimensional design software, such as SolidWorks, CATIA, Siemens NX, or AutoCAD.\nExperience with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, manufacturing processes, and finite element analysis.\nExperience with enterprise resource planning, product lifecycle management, and engineering change processes.\nExperience working in semiconductor, high-tech, complex assembly, or cleanroom environments is preferred.\nCertification in geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, project management, Lean, or Six Sigma is preferred.\nSkills\nWorking at the cutting edge of tech, you’ll always have new challenges and new problems to solve - and working together is the only way to do that. You will help strengthen tooling reliability while supporting safe, efficient, and scalable manufacturing.\nThis position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.).
