This role covers a broad range of tax areas, including Corporate Income Tax (CIT), VAT, Withholding Tax (WHT), Local Income Tax, and other local and international tax compliance matters.\nWe are looking for someone with strong hands-on experience in Korean taxation, particularly Corporate Income Tax and VAT, together with a solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.\nYou will also work closely with local and global stakeholders and support continuous process improvement, including the transition to our future SAP HANA ERP system.\nRoles & Responsibilities \n1. Corporate Income Tax (CIT)\nAct as the primary point of contact for information required for Corporate Income Tax return preparation.\nReview CIT filings from a financial input perspective.\nMonitor tax compliance obligations and ensure timely preparation of tax filings.\nSupport tax adjustments by preparing and reviewing data related to: Prepaid taxes, Foreign exchange translation gains/losses, Entertainment expenses, Donations, Foreign tax payments\nPerform Sales-to-VAT reconciliation for system and intercompany revenue.\nSupport tax reviews and reconciliation related to revenue recognition.\n2. VAT Management\nLead VAT return processes and support related KPI achievement.\nPerform monthly VAT closing activities, including AICO.\nReconcile VAT accounts and clear open items.\nPrepare quarterly VAT forecasts and analysis for tax authorities and the Netherlands Tax Team.\n3. Withholding Tax (WHT)\nManage withholding tax compliance for software royalties.\nPrepare and manage applications for reduced withholding tax rates.\nManage withholding tax compliance related to intercompany loan interest.\n4. Local Taxes\nPrepare and file local tax allocation statements.\nReview and manage payments related to property tax, real estate tax, factory registration tax, and business place tax.\n5. Statutory Audit Support\nSupport statutory audit procedures, including inventory cycle counts and follow-up activities.\nPerform purchase ledger reviews and purchase sample testing.\nPrepare inventory-related disclosures, supporting data, reconciliations, and cost analysis.\nSupport Journal Entry Testing (JET)\n6. Financial Reporting & Closing\nMonitor compliance with corporate accounting policies and local regulations.\nDrive and coordinate period-end closing activities.\nCollaborate with ASML Corporate Finance, Tax Accounting, and Tax Compliance teams in the Netherlands for periodic group reporting and consolidation.\n7. Other Responsibilities\nCollect Country-by-Country Reporting (CBCR) related-party information.\nManage corporate digital certificates.\nRespond to internal data requests and statistical surveys.\nSupport the transition to SAP HANA, including issue follow-up and related process improvements.\nEducation & Experience\nBachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.\n10~12 years of experience in accounting, tax, or finance, preferably in an international environment.\nStrong knowledge of Korean tax compliance and financial accounting, particularly Corporate Income Tax (CIT) and VAT, with experience in statutory audits and tax filings.
