In this role, you will:\nDesign and develop efficient, scalable database solutions aligned to business requirements.\nInstall, configure, and upgrade database software and related tooling.\nMonitor performance and optimize queries, indexes, and schemas for reliability and speed.\nImplement and maintain database security controls to protect sensitive data.\nCollaborate with application developers to optimize schema designs and SQL.\nTroubleshoot incidents and provide timely resolution across environments.\nDevelop and maintain documentation for architecture, configuration, and runbooks.\nPerform capacity planning and recommend infrastructure improvements.\nManage and support AWS database infrastructure (e.g., RDS/Aurora/Redshift).\nStay current on emerging database technologies, patterns, and best practices. Qualifications:\nStrong understanding of AWS and IaC for database resources.\nProven experience as a Database Engineer/DBA.\nDeep knowledge of DBMSs (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, Redshift).\nProficiency in SQL and query optimization.\nSolid grasp of data modeling, normalization, and schema design principles.\nHands-on experience with performance tuning and monitoring.\nUnderstanding of backup/restore and disaster recovery procedures.\nKnowledge of database security best practices.\nExcellent problem-solving, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.\nAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
