This role combines strong visual design skills with hands-on implementation, working closely with UX designers, technical UI designers, and engineers to turn wireframes and concepts into polished, production-ready UI.\nWhat You Will Do\nKey Responsibilities\nCreate high-fidelity UI mockups, prototypes, visual concepts, design systems, and style guides.\nTransform UX wireframes into polished interfaces with strong visual hierarchy, consistency, and usability.\nDesign menus, HUD elements, icons, controls, states, and other user-facing interface elements.\nImplement final UI artwork in Unreal Engine using UMG and related tools.\nCreate and refine UI animation, motion, materials, shaders, and 2D visual effects as appropriate.\nWork with Technical UI Designers and Engineers to move designs from concept through functional implementation.\nMaintain visual consistency and quality across features and interface systems.\nCreate reusable visual components and support the evolution of the product's UI design system.\nIterate on designs based on usability feedback, technical constraints, performance needs, and production requirements.\nDeliver high-quality UI assets and features on schedule while adapting to changing requirements.\nWhat You Bring\nRequired Qualifications\nProfessional experience designing UI for games or other real-time interactive experiences.\nStrong visual design skills demonstrated through a portfolio, including layout, typography, color, iconography, and composition.\nProficiency with Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator, or comparable visual design tools.\nHands-on experience implementing UI in Unreal Engine using UMG or a comparable real-time engine UI system.\nExperience with UI animation and motion for interactive interfaces.\nAbility to work from wireframes through high-fidelity visual design and production implementation.\nStrong understanding of design systems, reusable components, and visual consistency.\nAbility to collaborate effectively with UX, Technical UI, Engineering, and other art disciplines.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience creating UI materials, shaders, or real-time visual effects.\nWorking knowledge of Blueprint scripting for UI behavior and interaction.\nExperience designing HUDs, menus, inventory, progression, or other game-oriented interface systems.\nExperience optimizing UI assets, textures, animations, or materials for real-time performance.\nExperience designing for multiple resolutions, aspect ratios, input methods, or platforms.\nKnowledge of accessibility and localization considerations for UI.\nResponsive web or application design experience; HTML, CSS, or JavaScript knowledge is a plus.\nExperience with shader development, technical art, or related real-time graphics workflows is a plus.\nLanguage Proficiency\nProfessional English, with the ability to run requirement and design conversations directly with North American stakeholders.\nWhat Success Looks Like\nThe successful candidate combines strong visual judgment with practical real-time implementation skills, can carry UI work from concept to production, and collaborates effectively with technical partners to deliver polished, consistent, and performance-efficient user experiences.\nVisa Sponsorship\nAspenView does not sponsor employment visas for this role.
