We are looking for sharp, disciplined, and highly quantitative individuals who have a passion for playing with complex data and cutting-edge technologies, in all its forms, including data mining, mathematical modeling, cognitive computing and expert systems. You will leverage your skills and passion for Machine Learning, AI, and Cognitive Computing to drive AspenTech’s Engineering Design and Simulation suite by developing ground-breaking software.Your Impact\nProvide technical leadership to a group of data scientists, engineers, and software developers to develop new machine learning applications for the manufacturing and process industries.\nCollaborate with customers, product managers and technical staff to develop technology strategies to promote continuous innovation in our Engineering Design and Simulation offerings.\nInvestigate new and developing technologies as they appear in industry and academia and determine how to leverage these new technologies into our software applications.\nProvide thought leadership and represent AspenTech at industry and academic meetings and conferences.\nWhat You'll Need\nMaster’s in Computer Science, Engineering, Operation Research, or a related major; PhD preferred.\n10+ years of experience in data analysis and software development/programming with one or more of Python, Julia, Matlab, C++/C and C#.\nExperience leading technical teams in modeling, simulation or AI/ML related areas is desirable.\nStrong expertise required in engineering mathematics, statistics and optimization.\nDemonstrated experience with machine learning algorithms (regression, semi-supervised learning, deep learning, reinforcement learning, time series analysis, predictive modeling, data mining, cognitive computing).\nExperience with LLM, generative AI, MLops, Graph Knowledge, and/or cloud technologies is a plus.\nHistory of publishing research and results in the ML field.\nProblem-solving ability and attention to details.\nDemonstrated ability to use scientific research to deliver value to customers and are motivated to deliver results in a fast-paced environment.\nExcellent interpersonal, communication, writing, and presentation skills.\nDemonstrated ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner.\nThe salary range for this role is $157,400.00 - $196,800.00. This range represents what we in good faith believe is the range possible for base compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range based on several factors. This range may be modified in the future. This role is also eligible for bonus or variable incentive pay.
