In this role, you will lead the design and development of integration frameworks, APIs, and reusable services that enable AspenTech applications to seamlessly interact with OSDU Data Platform. You will play a key role in connecting our desktop and hybrid applications with OSDU Core Services and domain-specific data management services such as SDDMS, RDDMS, and WDDMS. Working closely with Product Management, Architecture, Cloud Engineering, and application development teams, you will drive the technical strategy for data interoperability, application integration, and data access across the OSDU ecosystem.Your Impact\nPerform complex analysis, design, and development tasks related to Data Management and OSDU platform integration.\nDefine and implement reusable APIs, SDKs, and integration frameworks enabling AspenTech applications to access and manage data stored in OSDU platforms.\nDrive the technical strategy for interoperability between desktop applications and OSDU services.\nDesign and implement integrations with OSDU Core Services, including Storage, Search, Schema, Legal, Entitlements, Workflow, and Data Discovery services.\nLead integration efforts with SDDMS, RDDMS, and WDDMS.\nCollaborate with Cloud Engineering teams to ensure integration solutions align with enterprise architecture and platform standards.\nDefine data synchronization, caching, performance optimization, and metadata management strategies for large-scale subsurface datasets.\nParticipate in Agile development activities and provide technical leadership across globally distributed teams.\nMentor software engineers and promote engineering excellence, software quality, and maintainability.\nFollow professional software engineering practices including architecture reviews, coding standards, source control management, automated testing, and release management.\nWhat You'll Need\nBachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.\n10+ years of professional software development experience.\nStrong hands-on experience with Node.js and TypeScript, including building scalable backend services using NestJS.\nExperience developing modern, responsive front-end applications using React.\nSolid experience designing, developing, and consuming RESTful APIs.\nStrong experience designing APIs, SDKs, and enterprise integration solutions.\nExperience developing and maintaining desktop applications connected to cloud-hosted services.\nStrong understanding of software architecture, data modeling, metadata management, and data governance principles.\nExperience working with large-scale data management systems and distributed data environments.\nAbility to evaluate complex information flows, data structures, and integration requirements.\nFluent English, both written and verbal.\nAutonomy, curiosity, and learning mindset.\nAdditional Appreciated Skills\nHands-on experience with the OSDU Data Platform including SDDMS, RDDMS, WDDMS.\nRESQML: Practical experience working with RESQML data models for exchanging reservoir and subsurface data between applications.\nC++: Experience with C++ for building performance-critical components or integrating with native desktop and scientific libraries.\nKnowledge of Energistics standards such as RESQML, WITSML, and PRODML.\nUnderstanding of subsurface, geoscience, reservoir engineering, or energy industry workflows.\nExperience building reusable interoperability frameworks and data integration solutions.\nExperience working with geographically distributed teams.\nTechnical leadership and mentoring
