You will work alongside experienced engineers to enhance existing products while contributing to the evolution of our platform toward a scalable, performant, service-oriented architecture.This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career software engineer to gain experience across the full technology stack, work with industry-standard development technologies, and contribute to innovative solutions that address real-world industrial challenges.\nYour Impact\nContribute to the development and enhancement ofAspenTech'snext-generation Asset Performance Management solutions.\nContribute tosoftware development across the full technology stack, including web applications, REST APIs, services, backend components, and databases.\nCollaborate with software developers, product managers, UX designers, and quality engineers to deliver high-quality solutions.\nParticipate in code reviews and contribute tomaintaininghigh standardsfor software quality, performance, and maintainability.\nTroubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects while supporting existing commercial products.\nDesign and implement new features following established software development practices and architectural guidelines.\nWrite and maintain unit tests and integration tests to help ensure application reliability and quality.\nParticipate in Agile/Scrum andSAFedevelopment processes, including sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.\nSupport CI/CD initiatives and contribute to continuous improvement of development workflows and engineering practices.\nExplore and evaluate emerging technologies, frameworks, and development tools through prototypes and proof-of-concept projects.\nWork with databases and data-intensive applications to support analytics and operational workflows.\nKnowledge of AI-assisted development tools and coding assistants, with exposure to applying them to improve developer productivity and software quality.\nExposure toQuality Engineering (QE) practices, including test automation concepts, quality assurance methodologies, and automated testing frameworks.\nWhat You'll Need\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, ora relatedtechnical field.\n0-2 years of software development experience, including internships, co-op programs, academic projects, or equivalent experience.\nExposure to development using C# and .NET technologies.\nUnderstanding ofobject-oriented programming (OOP) principles and software design concepts.\nExposure to front-end development technologies including: Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3\nFamiliarity with REST APIs, web services, and microservice-based architecture.\nKnowledge of SQL and relational database concepts, including experience writing queries and working with databases such as SQL Server.\nExperience using source control systems such as Git.\nExposure tounit testing and integration testing practices.\nFamiliarity with CI/CD concepts and tools such as Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions.\nUnderstanding ofAgile/Scrum development methodologies andSAFepractices.\nStrong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.\nEnthusiasm for learningnew technologiesand expanding technicalexpertise.\nThe salary range for this role is $90,200.00 - $112,800.00. This range represents what we in good faith believe is the range possible for base compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range based on several factors. This range may be modified in the future. This role is also eligible for bonus or variable incentive pay.
