Our Digital Grid Management software suite, including AspenTech products, helps power and utilities companies achieve superior real-time control, optimization and management for exceptional performance of complex energy networks.As a Sr. Project Engineer, you will be responsible for end-to-end delivery of SCADA/EMS/GMS/ADMS projects using the monarch platform, including planning / design / integration / testing / training / and commissioning at site. A good understanding of utility use-cases (Electricity / Gas / Water / Renewables) is preferred. Additional responsibilities will include:\nYour Impact\nDesign, plan, integrate, test and commission hardware and software requirements on customer systems.\nPerform installation, integration, and testing of the hardware, software and system.\nOwn troubleshooting efforts for discovered variances and deploy resolutions in a timely manner.\nDefine project requirements through customer communication and communicate the requirements to other departments, as necessary.\nWork as the project technical lead responsible for deploying complex and dynamic control systems.\nProvide networking and system/application design.\nCustomize system, hardware and network configuration based on customer requirements.\nProvide customer support and assistance per contract maintenance and warranty.\nAssist in creating training materials and project documentation as needed.\nWhat You'll Need\nBachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Systems Engineering or related field.\nStrong technical background in automation and computers with at least 5 years of relevant experience.\nExperience in one or more of the following: power systems, electric utility operations/dispatch, real-time control systems, client/server applications, network communications, UNIX / Linux / Windows operating systems.\nExperience in software programming and scripting (Python, C / C++).\nExperience with the implementation of AspenTech DGM (OSI monarch) suite of software.\nPreferred\nExperience with CAD, Visio or similar software preferred.\nExperience in Database structures (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Mongo, Cassandra) preferred.\nExperience with JSON, XML preferred.\nExperience with common utility protocols (ICCP, DNP, IEC, MultiSpeak) preferred.\nExcellent organization, interpersonal and leadership skills.\nStrong commitment to providing superior customer service.\nAbility to work on several projects in parallel in a fast-paced environment.\nExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills.\nAbility and flexibility to travel to domestic and international customer sites.\nWork Authorization\nAspenTech will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States. This range represents what we in good faith believe is the range possible for base compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range based on several factors. This range may be modified in the future. This role is also eligible for bonus or variable incentive pay.
