As a Senior Software Developer, you will help design and develop new features in collaboration with Product Management and Product Designers. Strong software development knowledge and understanding of modeling and optimization principles are a must for this position. Working knowledge of refinery and petrochemical processes as well as supply chain and distribution modeling are also useful skills for this role.Your Impact\nInvestigate new and developing modeling and optimization technologies as they appear in industry and academia and determine how to leverage these new technologies into our software applications.\n\nProvide technical leadership for software development projects related to mathematical modeling and optimization.\n\nDesign, develop, maintain, and support new and existing engineering software applications.\n\nActively contribute to technical and functional design sessions.\n\nProvide creative solutions when dealing with technology challenges.\n\nParticipating in the maintenance and enhancement of the existing code bases.\n\nProvide technical support to product management, product marketing, services, and customer support on customer activities.\n\nWhat You'll Need\nBS in Chemical Engineering, Mathematics, or related fields (Master's degree is helpful, PhD preferred).\n\n5-8 years of experience in the development of software for modeling, control and optimization of chemicals, oil & gas, and/or refining processes.\n\nStrong background in numerical methods, mathematical modeling, and optimization.\n\nSolid computer programming and software development experience, with specific experience in C#/.NET.
