They are responsible for building scalable applications on AWS, utilizing services such as Fargate, CloudFront, S3, and PostgreSQL. The role requires a deep understanding of serverless architecture and AWS services to ensure seamless product development.\nKey Responsibilities\nAI-First ApproachComfortable letting AI do the heavy lifting and reviewing outcomes rather than reading every line of code.\nDaily use of AI coding tools. We use Claude primarily, but also have plans with Cursor and Codex, so candidates who've shipped production work with those are a strong match.\nWe already have a multi-agent harness established that new hires can plug in to and start using on day 1.\n\nLead design, development, and deployment of software solutions, ensuring alignment with technical and business requirements.\nDesign, develop, and maintain RESTful and GraphQL APIs to optimize back-end systems for high performance under varying load conditions.\nImplement robust security measures to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance standards such as SOC, PCI, and GovRAMP.\nOptimize back-end infrastructure and services with load balancing, database optimization, and caching strategies for high availability and performance.\nDefine and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate testing and deployment, reducing time to production.\nCollaborate with product managers, architects, and engineers to define the technical roadmap and ensure long-term vision alignment.\nMentor engineers, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning.\nLead technical discussions and decision-making, providing expertise on architecture, design patterns, and best practices.\nConduct code reviews to ensure maintainable, scalable code and adherence to coding standards.\nStay informed of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to improve software offerings and development processes.\nQualifications\nProven track record of delivering high-quality, scalable software solutions with a strong foundation in software architecture and design principles.\nExpertise in TypeScript, with a focus on AWS serverless applications.\nStrong problem-solving abilities and experience in analyzing complex technical challenges and developing innovative solutions.\nExceptional leadership and mentoring skills, guiding teams to reach their full potential and making key architectural decisions.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills, effectively articulating technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.\nExperience with AWS CDK for infrastructure as code, ensuring scalable, maintainable solutions.\nStrong understanding of software security principles, including secure coding practices and leading security-focused initiatives.\nDesired Education and Experience\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.\n5+ years of professional software engineering.\nRecent, hands-on experience with:TypeScript\nReact (TanstackStart framework preferred)\nAWS\nPostgres\n\nEqual Employment Opportunity\nRA Outdoors, LLC dba Aspira is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
