It means being part of a team that is shaping the future of healthcare operations while making a measurable difference for providers and patients alike.\nAbout the Role\nImpact you will make\nThe Supervisor, Workers' Compensation is responsible for providing day-to-day leadership, guidance, and operational support to a team responsible for the investigation and coordination of Workers' Compensation insurance benefits. This position ensures team performance, quality, productivity, and client service standards are consistently met while fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment. The Supervisor serves as a subject matter expert, mentors team members, resolves escalated issues, and partners with leadership to drive continuous process improvement and operational excellence.\nWhat you will do\nProvide daily leadership, coaching, and support to team members while promoting a positive and collaborative work environment.\nPartner with the Manager to achieve departmental goals, operational objectives, and client expectations.\nSupervise a team consisting of multiple job functions and ensure work is completed accurately, efficiently, and within established service level expectations.\nServe as an advanced subject matter expert in Workers' Compensation claims investigation and coordination of insurance benefits.\nResolve complex or escalated accounts while maximizing reimbursement opportunities and ensuring timely account resolution.\nPerform routine quality assurance reviews of claims, investigations, and follow-up activities to ensure compliance with company standards and client expectations.\nMonitor individual and team productivity, quality, and performance metrics, providing coaching and corrective action when necessary.\nDelegate work assignments effectively while balancing workloads across the team.\nTrain, mentor, and support new and existing team members to promote professional development and operational success.\nLead departmental meetings and actively participate in leadership meetings to provide inventory updates, operational metrics, and team performance insights.\nReview and distribute weekly status reports and communicate operational updates to leadership.\nIdentify workflow challenges, recommend process improvements, and implement best practices to improve efficiency and quality.\nAddress client concerns promptly, escalating issues to leadership as appropriate and assisting with resolution efforts.\nDemonstrate exceptional customer service and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.\nMaintain strict confidentiality of Protected Health Information (PHI) and comply with all HIPAA policies and regulations.\nParticipate in the recruitment and interview process for prospective team members.\nPerform additional duties and special projects as assigned.\nWhat you will bring\nHigh School Diploma or GED required.\nOne (1) year or more of previous supervisor or team leadership experience.\nMinimum of three (3) years of related experience in Workers' Compensation, revenue cycle management, or a related healthcare reimbursement field.\nStrong leadership and team development skills.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to compose professional business correspondence.\nStrong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.\nExceptional attention to detail and accuracy.\nAbility to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.\nExcellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated emotional intelligence and social awareness.\nAbility to effectively coach, mentor, and motivate team members.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Excel.\nKnowledge of medical billing, insurance claims processing, and coordination of benefits, specifically Workers' Compensation.\nAbility to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive information.\nAbility to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining a high level of performance.\nAbility to meet established deadlines and productivity expectations.\nAbility to adhere to an established in-office/on-site work schedule.\nDemonstrated history of high performance and accountability.\nWhat we would like to see\nAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred.\nCore expectations\nDemonstrate integrity and ethics in day-to-day tasks and decision making, operate effectively in the environment and the environment of the work group, maintain a focus on self-development and seek out continuous feedback and learning opportunities\nSupport Compliance Program by adhering to policies and procedures pertaining to HIPAA, GLBA, FCRA, and other laws applicable to business practices; this includes becoming familiar with Code of Ethics, attending training as required, notifying management when there is a compliance concern or incident, HIPAA-compliant handling of patient information, and demonstrable awareness of confidentiality obligations\nUS remote-based colleagues are not permitted to work from a location outside of the United States, at any time, without prior, written approval.\nWork Environment\nThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
