The primary responsibility of this position is to manage the DXBM Engineering team leading the Aging Surveillance (AS) and Sustainment Engineering (SE) efforts on RSLP MA missions, serving as the primary point of contact between the RSLP MA DXBM team and the US Space Force (USSF), Space Systems Command (SSC), Assured Access to Space Small Launch and Targets Division Logistics Manager (SSC/AAMXL).\n\nResponsibilities:\nServe as the primary POC between the RSLP MA DXBM logistics team and the SSC/AAMXL customer, as well as the SSC/AAMXO Mission Manager assigned to MDA missions. The RSLP MA DXBM team consists of Project Engineers who oversee the execution of Aging Surveillance (AS), Sustainment Engineering (SE), and various RSLP MA MDA Task Orders (TOs).\nServe as the personnel manager for the DXBM team and other Kirtland AFB office personnel as required. Work with recruiting to post job requisitions, fill job openings, and onboard new employees. Set performance goals, perform annual reviews, provide ongoing performance feedback, approve timecards, travel requests, and expense reports.\nAssign PE’s to RSLP MA MDA Task Orders, to include backup PE’s as required. Maintain an accurate IV&V Team Organization Chart and ensure the AAMXL manager is cognizant of the RSLP MA IV&V Team assignments.\nAlign RSLP MA DXBM team resources to meet program objectives across AS, SE, and MDA Task Orders. Work to resolve schedule and resource challenges as they arise.\nProvide technical and programmatic input to DXBM and MDA Task Order proposals, including reviewing BOE’s, ensuring pricing is properly executed, and approving the submittal of proposal packages to the Program Manager.\nSupport the RSLP MA PM in identifying the aggregate DXBM team budget and required head count for AS, SE, and MDA missions.\nSupport the RSLP MA Program Manager with programmatic briefings and other assignments as requested.\nBackup RSLP MA MDA mission PEs as well as AS and SE leads, and temporarily lead MDA missions as required, generally on a temporary basis.\nRequirements:\nMust have strong communication and presentation skills and demonstrated ability to work with contractor and government counterparts.\nDemonstrated high initiative, proactive, low-maintenance, self-starter required.\nDemonstrated ability to lead a team in a matrix organization is required.\nExperience with Microsoft Office suite of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio) to perform technical writing, editing, and document formatting.\n Education/Experience:\nBachelor of Science degree, preferably in an engineering science.\n10 years or more aerospace experience with launch program management experience required.\nExperience in the design or development of launch systems is highly desired.\nProgram management and/or project management experience is required.\nFamiliarity with RSLP MA IV&V activities, and responsibilities of RSLP MA Project Engineers desired.\nMust have experience working with the DoD.
