We are seeking highly motivated Modeling & Simulation Systems Engineers to support the Specialized Warfighter Development Contract’s (SWDC) Threat Products Services (TPS) / Threat Modeling Center (TMC) at Schriever Space Force Base, in Colorado Springs, CO.\n\nThis exciting career opportunity at the TMC is responsible for the development and delivery of high-fidelity threat modeling products in support of the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) and MDA’s Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS).\n\nThis role requires employees to be onsite daily with no option for remote/hybrid work.\n\nBasic Qualifications:\nBachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) discipline preferred with 2 years of relevant experience, or 0-2 years’ experience with a Masters’ Degree\nApplicants must have a current active in-scope U.S. Government DoD issued Secret security clearance at the time of application which is required to start\nExperience with technical analysis of modeling and simulation of data sets\nFamiliarity with the flight characteristics, motion, and performance of missile systems\nFamiliarity with hard body heating of objects and their corresponding signature representation\nExperience with Verification and Validation of modeling and simulation of signatures data\nExperience with scripting/automation languages such as Python, Bash, or MATLAB\nMust be familiar with infrared signature concepts and physics behind hard body heating and how they affect infrared intensities\n\nPreferred Requirements:\nStrong math, physics and/or engineering background is preferred\nPrevious experience with analyzing flight characteristics, motion, atmospheric dynamics, and missile performance parameters of ballistic missiles is highly desirable\nStrong background in missile system engineering performance\nMastery of engineering modeling principles behind body motion, trajectory analysis, counter measures, debris, and signature modeling is a plus\nBackground in IR Signatures modeling\nFamiliarity with Optical Signatures Code (OSC)\nExperience in Agile software development methodologies including Scrum and
