(AFSS), a subsidiary of ASRC Federal, is a premier provider of systems engineering, software engineering, system integration and project management services for real-time, mission-critical defense systems.\nAFSS is seeking a Senior Network Engineer in Colorado Springs, CO to support the Ground Based Radar Maintenance and Sustainment Service (GMASS) program. \nKey Role:\nDesigns, analyzes, plans, modifies, and maintains networks and network components supporting data, voice and/or audio communication activities.\nPrepares the analysis of short/long term capacity needs for switching, routing transmission, and signaling.\nConduct network architecture design, feasibility, and cost studies as well as internal studies of network performance and traffic analysis.\nEvaluates new technology.\nProvide specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture.\nProvide information for hardware and software selection and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements.\nConducts testing of network systems.\nMaintains technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers,\nConfigures switches, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc. Evaluates and reports on new network technologies to enhance capabilities of the network.\nRequirements:\nTypical education and experience: Bachelors and five (5) years or more experience;
