This is a full-time on-site position at the Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center (MMAC) in Oklahoma City, OK. \nThe FAA's Communications Remote Maintenance and Monitoring (CRMM) system—specifically supported by technologies like the multi-protocol communications remote monitoring panel—enables secure, continuous remote oversight of National Airspace System (NAS) communication networks. \nCitizenship/Permanent Residency Requirement \nAll candidates must have the following to pass the Federal Background Investigation and obtain the FAA Public Trust security clearance. \nBe a US Citizen. \nHas resided in the US for three (3) consecutive years.\nRealID Driver’s License/ID or current US Passport. \nRelocation Requirement \nCandidate must reside or be willing to relocate within a commutable distance to the Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center (MMAC) in Oklahoma City, OK. \nEducation & Experience Requirement \nAll non-US Degrees must have a US Equivalency Certificate provided by the candidate at the time of application. \nA Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related IT fields, with a minimum of thirty (30) semester hours in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science may be substituted in lieu of the computer science degree, depending on other qualifications and experience.\nExperience with NAS facilities, systems, and equipment is desired.\n0 - 3 years of related work experience. \nRequired Skills \nProficient in programming languages and scripts used in model and tool development (C, C++, Python).\nFamiliarity with hardware system design, schematics, and interconnects.\nExperience with source control systems such as Git.\nKnowledge of VLANs, VPNs, NAT, ACLs, and network segmentation.\nSkilled in network monitoring and diagnostic tools.\nStrong understanding of the OSI model, TCP/IP communications, subnetting, routing, and switching.\nSupport tasks in lab, field, and production environments under senior engineer guidance. \nAbility to:\nWork independently, as well as on a team, in an agile environment. \nResearch, troubleshoot and problem solve quickly. \nLearn on the job/willing to self-teach. \nCommunicate effectively through verbal and written communication with high organization.\nWrite clear, structured technical documentation and explain complex technical issues to non-technical personnel.\nPreferred Skills \nAbility to take and support field service calls.\nProvide real-time troubleshooting support to field technicians.\nDocument incident findings and corrective actions.\nSupport remote and on-site system diagnostics.\nParticipate in after-hours or mission-critical support when required.\nProvide software development support for configuring devices and hardware.\nConfigure and maintain network hardware including routers and switches from various vendors. \nEssential Daily Job Duties \nPerform research and maintenance of software systems.\nOriginate, write, test, update, and document projects supporting system software.\nLead coordination, drafting, reviewing, and editing of technical reports and drawings for final approval and distribution.\nDevelop plans and techniques to address real-time and anticipated problems, including integration of new products and code review issues.\nProvide support for modernization and enhancement of systems as requested by the government.\nIdentify needs and drive development and implementation of major processes.\nHandle and document trouble calls from system product end users.\nProvide support using LabVIEW, C, C++, SQL, and Python (2 and 3). \nWork Environment \nStandard flexible work schedule. \nTravel is 10 -
