The SA leverages experience in developing the blueprint for an IT solution, consistent with company standards and industry best practices. Responsibilities include working with business users to define the project scope; developing architecture and detail design; formulating and executing project plans.\n\nSUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:\n\nDesign and define scalable, secure, and high-performance Java-based application architectures.\nTranslate application requirements into software solutions that adhere to software architecture and implementation standards.\nLead architecture discussions and provide technical guidance to development teams.\nDefine technology stacks, frameworks, and development standards for projects.\nDesign and implement microservices, REST APIs, and integration solutions.\nReview application designs and code to ensure quality, scalability, and compliance with application requirements and implementation standards.\nCollaborate with business stakeholders, project managers, and cross-functional teams to deliver software solutions that meet business needs and expectations.\nEnsure application security through industry-standard authentication, authorization, and data protection mechanisms.\nIdentify and resolve performance, scalability, and reliability challenges.\nDefine database, messaging, and integration architectures to support software solutions.\nEstablish architecture governance, best practices, and technical standards across projects.\nEvaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions to improve business outcomes.\nMentor developers and technical leads on architecture principles and best practices.\nConduct architecture reviews, risk assessments, and technical solution evaluations.\nSupport project estimation, technical planning, and solution roadmaps.\nIdentify technical risks and provide mitigation strategies.\nDevelop and finalize solution proposal and/or presentation of recommended solutions.\nEnsure solutions are maintainable, reusable, and aligned with software solution objectives.\nDeveloping software using JAVA, Spring framework, Hibernate, MySQL, Smart GWT framework.\n\nRELATIONSHIPS/CONTACTS:\n\nReports directly to the Manager, Application Development. \nWorks with employees at all levels of the organization. \nThis position does not have any direct reports.\n\nQUALIFICATIONS:\n\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must meet expectations of each essential duty. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and abilities required.\n\nEDUCATION:\n\nPreferred Graduate Degree In Computer Science/engineering/information Technology.\n\nEXPERIENCE:\n\nMinimum 15+ years of progressive experience in Java application development, solution architecture, system design, and enterprise application delivery.\nMinimum 4+ years of experience in a Solution Architect or Technical Architect role, designing and delivering large-scale, mission-critical applications.\n\nTECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE and/or ABILITIES:\n\nExtensive experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale applications using Java and related technologies.\nStrong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Hibernate/JPA, and RESTful API development.\nExperience designing and implementing Microservices Architectures and distributed systems.\nProficiency with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.\nStrong knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.\nProficiency with build and dependency management tools such as Maven and Gradle.\nStrong experience with Git-based source code management and branching strategies.\nExpertise in relational databases, data modelling, SQL optimization, and database integration.\nStrong knowledge of application security, authentication, authorization, OAuth2, JWT, and secure coding practices.\nExperience conducting architecture reviews, defining technical standards, and establishing governance frameworks.\nStrong understanding of object-oriented design principles, design patterns, and software architecture best practices.\nAbility to evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions that align with business and technical objectives.\n\nCOMPETENCIES:\n\nStrong leadership and team mentoring skills.\nExcellent communication and stakeholder management.\nAbility to translate business needs into technical solutions.\nStrong problem-solving and analytical skills.\nExperience leading cross-functional, onshore, and offshore teams.\nAbility to drive architecture decisions and technical governance.\nEffective prioritization and multitasking in fast-paced environments.\nStrong collaboration and relationship-building skills.\nProactive, self-motivated, and results-oriented mindset.\nAbility to manage technical risks and dependencies.\nCommitment to innovation, continuous improvement, and best practices.\n\nWe are the ASSA ABLOY Group\n\nOur people have made us the global leader in access solutions.
