We value a collaborative approach, promote diversity, and prioritize safety and integrity in all our operations.\nThe Construction Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating civil construction activities across Assala Energy project sites. The role supports the safe, efficient, and compliant execution of construction works by supervising contractors, monitoring project progress, ensuring adherence to company standards and HSSE requirements, and supporting the successful completion and handover of facilities and infrastructure projects.\nResponsibilities\nSupervise contractor personnel and day-to-day construction activities on site.\nMonitor construction works to ensure compliance with approved designs, specifications, schedules, and company standards.\nEnsure contractors apply safe work practices and comply with Assala Energy HSSE policies and procedures.\nParticipate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, inspections, and contractor HSSE activities.\nMonitor progress against project plans and provide regular updates to the Project Construction Superintendent.\nPrepare and maintain construction progress reports and supporting documentation.\nVerify that all construction activities are executed in accordance with approved engineering and quality requirements.\nReview, accept, and document completed work scopes and contractor deliverables.\nEnsure inspections are performed in accordance with company inspection and quality control requirements.\nVerify that inspection reports and quality documentation are completed and submitted for approval.\nIdentify non-conformities, deviations, and quality issues, ensuring appropriate corrective actions are implemented.\nEnsure technical queries, field changes, and scope modifications are properly documented and approved through the relevant management process.\nCoordinate with Project Managers, Engineers, Operations teams, Logistics, Drilling, and other stakeholders to support project execution.\nMaintain accurate records of drawings, reports, correspondence, and project documentation.\nSupport commissioning, handover, and close-out activities to ensure a smooth transition of completed works to operations.\nBuild and maintain effective working relationships with contractors and internal customers.\nPromote safe working practices and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.\nRequirements\nHNC, Technical Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related engineering discipline.\nMinimum 5 years of experience within the oil and gas industry\nDemonstrated experience supervising civil construction projects and contractor workforces.\nStrong knowledge of construction methods, quality assurance, and quality control processes.\nExperience working in operational and brownfield environments.\nProven ability to monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.\nGood understanding of HSSE requirements applicable to construction activities.\nExperience reviewing engineering drawings, technical documentation, and construction work packs.\nFamiliarity with contract management and contractor coordination processes.\nStrong organizational, reporting, and documentation management skills.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary and multicultural teams.\nAbility to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.\nSelf-motivated with the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.\nFluent in English.\nFrench language skills are considered an advantage.\nAdditional training in HSSE, QA/QC, or Contract Management is desirable.\nExperience in infrastructure, roads, buildings, industrial facilities, or airport construction projects would be advantageous.","description_format":"text","description_chars":4011,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":null,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":{"level":"bachelor","optional":false},"security_clearance":false,"languages":[{"language":"French","level":"All levels","optional":true},{"language":"English","level":"Advanced (C1)","optional":false}]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[{"name":"Gabon","iso":"GA","kind":"country"}],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Natural Resources"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-10-05T09:11:49Z"}],"visa":[{"country":"GB","licensed_sponsor":true,"evidence":"Licensed UK visa sponsor (Senior or Specialist Worker, Skilled Worker)","filings_12m":null,"filings_prev_12m":null,"green_card_filings_12m":null,"median_offered_wage_usd":null,"route":"Global Business Mobility: Senior or Specialist Worker;
