We value a collaborative approach, promote diversity, and prioritize safety and integrity in all our operations.\nThe Piping & Structural Designer is responsible for the design, technical preparation, fabrication follow-up, and site supervision of piping systems and structures. The role supports projects throughout their lifecycle by developing engineering deliverables, coordinating with suppliers and contractors, overseeing fabrication and installation activities, and ensuring compliance with project specifications, engineering standards, quality requirements, and HSSE expectations.\nResponsibilities\nDevelop detailed 3D models of piping systems and steel structures.\nPrepare 2D layouts, isometric drawings, fabrication drawings, and associated technical documentation.\nDesign piping and structural solutions in accordance with project specifications and engineering standards.\nPrepare project execution packages, including technical procedures, scopes of work, specifications, and method statements.\nPrepare Material Take-Offs (MTOs) and material lists required for project execution.\nReview and evaluate technical proposals from suppliers and contractors.\nPrepare technical clarifications and liaise with vendors throughout the procurement process.\nFollow up fabrication activities and verify compliance with approved specifications and quality requirements.\nMonitor material orders, deliveries, inspections, and quality control activities.\nConduct site surveys and support engineering activities through field data collection.\nSupervise piping and structural installation works on site.\nVerify the conformity of construction and installation activities with approved engineering documentation.\nEnsure compliance with Assala site processes and procedures, including HSSE, Logistics, and Administration requirements.\nPromote safe working practices and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.\nRequirements\nTechnical Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline.\nSignificant experience in steel structure construction and fabrication environments.\nProven experience as an Industrial Designer.\nExperience in the preparation, coordination, and/or supervision of piping works on industrial sites.\nStrong knowledge of piping isometric drawings and piping construction practices.\nExperience using 3D scanning technology and point cloud data.\nProficiency with CAD software, including: \nAutoCAD\nAutodesk products\nCadwork\nExperience producing 3D models and detailed engineering drawings.\nKnowledge of fabrication, welding, piping, and structural installation practices.\nExperience preparing MTOs and technical construction documentation.\nStrong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams and external contractors.\nFrench language proficiency is mandatory.\nEnglish language skills are considered an advantage.","description_format":"text","description_chars":3154,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":null,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":{"level":"bachelor","optional":false},"security_clearance":false,"languages":[{"language":"French","level":"Advanced (C1)","optional":false},{"language":"English","level":"All levels","optional":true}]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[{"name":"Gabon","iso":"GA","kind":"country"}],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Oil & Gas"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-10-02T16:42:42Z"}],"visa":[{"country":"GB","licensed_sponsor":true,"evidence":"Licensed UK visa sponsor (Senior or Specialist Worker, Skilled Worker)","filings_12m":null,"filings_prev_12m":null,"green_card_filings_12m":null,"median_offered_wage_usd":null,"route":"Global Business Mobility: Senior or Specialist Worker;
