This role involves creating robust, scalable platform components that enable rapid application development while ensuring security, performance, and reliability across all AssetMark systems.\nWe can only consider candidates for this position who are able to accommodate a hybrid work schedule and are close to our Charlotte, NC office.\nKey Responsibilities\nPlatform Development & Infrastructure:\nImplement platform services, APIs, and infrastructure components independently\n\nDevelop and maintain core platform capabilities including data services, authentication, and integration frameworks\n\nHandle complex platform-level bug fixes and participate in incident remediation for foundational systems\n\nWrite comprehensive tests for platform components and ensure high reliability standards\n\nImplement secure coding practices with focus on enterprise-grade security and compliance\n\nAPI & Integration Design:\nContribute to technical specifications for platform APIs and service interfaces\n\nImplement solutions for complex integration challenges between systems and external partners\n\nDesign and build reusable platform components that serve multiple applications\n\nIdentify and address performance bottlenecks in platform services\n\nEvaluate and recommend technical approaches for platform-level challenges\n\nData & Architecture:\nWork with data modeling, master data management, and enterprise data governance\n\nImplement canonical source-of-truth data systems and ensure data integrity\n\nContribute to service-oriented architecture patterns and microservices design\n\nSupport cloud-native architectures and infrastructure-as-code principles\n\nParticipate in DevOps practices and CI/CD pipeline development\n\nCollaboration & Enablement:\nWork closely with application engineering teams to understand platform requirements\n\nProvide technical guidance on platform service adoption and best practices\n\nCollaborate with security and compliance teams on regulatory requirements\n\nCommunicate platform capabilities and constraints to stakeholders\n\nDocument platform components and integration patterns for broader team use\n\nKnowledge, Skills, Abilities\nStrong proficiency in platform technologies (Java, C#, Python, Go, or similar)\n\nExperience with API design, microservices architecture, and distributed systems\n\nKnowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)\n\nhands-on experience in developing Azure Cloud Computing resources such as AKS, app services, Function Apps, Logic Apps, Storage Accounts, etc.,\n\nUnderstanding of database technologies, data modeling, and enterprise data patterns\n\nKnowledge of working with various AI Tools such as Copilot, Cursor AI, Claude Code, Blitzy AI etc.,\n\nExperience with message queues, event-driven architecture, and async processing\n\nFamiliarity with DevOps tools, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure automation\n\nKnowledge of DevOps, infrastructure-as-code, and modern deployment practices.\n\nexperience with SQL Server (DB Design, Query Optimization, Indexing) and PostgreSQL DB\n\nUnderstanding of security best practices for enterprise platforms\n\nKnowledge of financial services regulatory requirements preferred\n\nFamiliarity with various iterative development methodologies\n\nAbility to quickly grasp modern technology concepts\n\nObject-oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD) concepts with a deep understanding of SOLID principles\n\nUnderstanding of Microsoft graph APIs\n\nEducation & Experience\nBachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related technical field\n\n3-5 years of software engineering experience with focus on platform or infrastructure development\n\nExperience building APIs, services, or platform components\n\nUnderstanding of enterprise integration patterns and service-oriented architecture\n\nExperience with agile development methodologies and cross-functional collaboration\n\nCompensation: The Base Salary range for this position is between $125,000-$142,000.\nThis information reflects a base salary range that AssetMark reasonably expects to pay for the position based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and actual work location. This position will also be eligible for additional variable incentive compensation and competitive benefits.\nCandidates must be legally authorized to work in the US to be considered.
