Accident prevention must be considered an inseparable part of everyday operations. Set safety goals annually as part of the career/personal development plan and develop action plans to achieve those goals.\nCOMPETENCIES:\nHave a Class A CDL, clean driving record and insurable driver\nMust be at least 22 years old\nMust have at least 18 months of continuous commercial driving experience\nAbility to perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and move your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping and handing of materials.\nAbility to communicate with people outside the organization, representing the Company to customers, and other external sources in a professional manner.\nMaintain all required certifications required by DOT and OSHA and company safety programs\nAbility to hear and respond to safety horns, intercom system and voice communication systems\nESSENTIAL JOB SKILLS:\nAble to perform simple mathematical calculations.\nApply knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering said vehicle in difficult situations.\nDependable --must provide on-time delivery\nMust be able to unload product once it has been delivered. Able to unload and lift cases weighing up to 90 pounds.\nAbility to operate and maintain equipment in a safe manner at all times\nMust be able to work in severe weather conditions; both heat and cold\nRequires prolonged sitting and driving\nAbility to make overnight runs as required by shipping needs\nCompensation: Activity Based Compensation.
