reusable components, and clean coding principles.\nExperience developing scalable, maintainable, secure, and high-performing web applications.\nExperience with PHP dependency and package management using Composer.\nGood understanding of application logging, exception handling, debugging, and troubleshooting.\nKnowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, jQuery, JSON, and XML.\nExperience with frontend technologies or frameworks such as Angular / React is desirable.\n\nAI-Assisted Software Development:\nWorking knowledge and practical experience using AI-assisted development and coding tools.\nAbility to use AI tools to assist with writing, reviewing, refactoring, optimizing, and documenting code.\nAbility to leverage AI tools for debugging, analysing application errors and logs, identifying root causes, and resolving technical issues.\nAbility to leverage AI to understand and troubleshoot legacy or complex application code.\nAbility to provide appropriate prompts and technical context to obtain useful code suggestions and troubleshooting recommendations from AI tools.\nAbility to review, test, and validate AI-generated code and recommendations before implementation.\nEnsure AI-generated or AI-assisted code meets established standards for security, performance, maintainability, reliability, and code quality.\nGood understanding of the responsible and secure use of AI tools, particularly when working with proprietary source code, credentials, customer information, sensitive data, and production information.\nExperience with AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot or equivalent tools is desirable.\n\nAPIs & Integration:\nHands-on experience designing, developing, and maintaining RESTful APIs and web services.\nExperience with REST API development and JSON-based integrations.\nExperience implementing API authentication and authorization mechanisms.\nGood understanding of application and API security principles.\nExperience implementing appropriate security controls for transmitting and handling sensitive API payloads.\nExperience integrating applications with third-party and enterprise systems.\nKnowledge or experience with Single Sign-On (SSO) implementation and related authentication technologies.\nPayment gateway or payment-system integration experience is desirable.\n\nDatabase:\nHands-on experience with relational database technologies, including MySQL and/or Microsoft SQL Server.\nExperience with AWS RDS or similar managed relational database services is desirable.\nGood SQL development skills, including experience with stored procedures.\nGood understanding of database normalization and denormalization.\nExperience with query optimization, indexing, and database performance tuning.\nAbility to design and maintain database structures based on application and business requirements.\n\nWeb & Infrastructure:\nGood understanding of Linux-based development and application hosting environments.\nUnderstanding of web/application servers and associated infrastructure concepts, including Apache, Nginx, load balancers, proxies, and reverse proxies.\nUnderstanding of Layer 4 and Layer 7 load balancing concepts.\nUnderstanding of session and state management for distributed applications.\nFamiliarity with application performance, scalability, availability, and troubleshooting concepts.\n\nDevOps & Source Control:\nProficient with Git and source-code/version-control practices.\nExperience working with Azure DevOps for source control, work management, build, and/or
