This is an onsite position based in Sterling, VA. \nKey Responsibilities\nSupport security and compliance assessments, audits, and risk management activities.\nMonitor and evaluate security controls, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.\nAssist with vulnerability management, security assessments, and remediation tracking.\nMaintain security documentation, policies, procedures, risk registers, and compliance evidence.\nSupport implementation and monitoring of security controls aligned with NIST, FISMA, CIS, or other applicable frameworks.\nAssist with security incident documentation, investigation, and escalation.\nReview system logs, security alerts, vulnerability reports, and other security information.\nTrack identified security weaknesses and work with technical teams to support timely remediation.\nRequired Qualifications\n1-3 years of professional experience in cybersecurity, information security, IT compliance, risk management, or a related field.\nThis position requires U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.\nBachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, or a related discipline.\nCompTIA Security+ or Network+ certification preferred/required.\nUnderstanding of cybersecurity principles, security controls, vulnerabilities, and risk management.\nFamiliarity with NIST Cybersecurity Framework, NIST 800-53, FISMA, CIS Controls, or similar standards.\nBasic understanding of network security, endpoint security, identity and access management, and vulnerability management.\nStrong analytical, documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills.\nExperience supporting Federal, State, or other highly regulated environments.\nASSYST Benefits:\nWe are proud to offer a robust benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) retirement plan, disability insurance, flexible spending accounts and more in order for our employees to maintain a secure work/life balance.\nASSYST is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
