You will be part of a forward-thinking environment where your contribution directly impacts project efficiency and delivery excellence.\n The Job Mission\nWorking on a major Nuclear Power Plant project, the Solution Architect will support the delivery of complex digital and enterprise technology solutions across the project programme. The role will focus on designing, governing, and integrating technology solutions that support engineering, construction, operations, and corporate functions within a highly regulated nuclear environment.\nThe successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, delivery teams, engineering partners, cybersecurity specialists, and third-party suppliers to ensure solutions are secure, scalable, compliant, and aligned with programme objectives.\nYou will design and govern enterprise technology solutions supporting major nuclear infrastructure programmes.\nWorking closely with your future team, you will ensure secure, scalable and compliant digital architecture delivery.\nDefine end-to-end solution architectures across enterprise applications, infrastructure and cloud services.\nTranslate business and operational requirements into scalable technical solution designs.\nEnsure compliance with cybersecurity policies, governance standards and regulatory requirements.\nDesign integrated solutions across Azure, PLM, EDRMS and enterprise technology platforms.\nLead technical governance reviews, design assurance and architecture approval activities.\nSupport integration between engineering systems, ERP, project controls and operational technologies.\nProduce architecture documentation including solution diagrams, data flows and interface specifications.\nIdentify technical risks, dependencies and mitigation strategies across solution delivery activities.\nSupport supplier evaluations, procurement activities and technical assessment processes.\nContribute to operational readiness, transition planning and service support model development.\nThis hybrid role is suited to candidates able to commute to Bristol regularly or relocate nearby, with support available.\n Essential Skills\nProven experience delivering solution architecture within regulated infrastructure environments.\nStrong understanding of enterprise architecture principles and systems integration practices.\nExperience designing cloud, enterprise application and cybersecurity technology solutions.\nAzure Expert Certification with strong Microsoft cloud platform knowledge.\nExperience working across complex multi-vendor delivery and stakeholder environments.\nStrong communication and governance documentation capabilities.\nFamiliarity with TOGAF, Azure architecture and structured delivery methodologies.\nAbility to balance technical, operational and regulatory project requirements effectively.\nDesired Skills\nExperience within nuclear, defence, utilities or critical infrastructure sectors.\nUnderstanding of operational technology and industrial control systems environments.\nKnowledge of UK nuclear cybersecurity and regulatory compliance expectations.\nRelevant certifications including TOGAF, ITIL, CISSP or AWS Solutions Architect.\nExperience with engineering information systems or construction management platform\nWhy Apply?\nJoin Assystem and become a key player in delivering critical nuclear projects that shape the future of energy.
