The role will coordinate M&E activities with the overall project programme, ensuring that works are properly sequenced, resources and interfaces are identified, and progress is accurately monitored and reported.\nThe successful candidate will work closely with the M&E project team, main contractor, subcontractors, design teams and other project stakeholders to identify programme risks, manage interfaces and support the timely delivery of the project.\nKey Responsibilities\nPlanning & Programming\nDevelop detailed M&E programmes in line with the overall project master programme.\n\nPrepare and maintain detailed short-, medium- and long-term programmes.\n\nDevelop logic-linked programmes covering design, procurement, installation, testing, commissioning and handover.\n\nEnsure M&E activities are properly sequenced and coordinated with architectural, structural and other construction activities.\n\nEstablish key milestones, interfaces, dependencies and critical activities.\n\nIncorporate subcontractor and supplier programmes into the overall M&E programme.\n\nMaintain baseline programmes and approved programme revisions.\n\nProgress Monitoring & Reporting\nMonitor actual progress against the approved programme.\n\nCollect progress information from site teams, subcontractors and suppliers.\n\nProduce weekly and monthly programme updates and progress reports.\n\nIdentify programme slippage, critical path impacts and emerging risks.\n\nPrepare recovery programmes and mitigation plans where required.\n\nProvide clear programme information to project management and senior stakeholders.\n\nCoordination\nWork closely with M&E Project Managers, Construction Managers, Site Managers and Quantity Surveyors.\n\nCoordinate M&E activities with other trades and project disciplines.\n\nAttend project, progress and coordination meetings.\n\nChallenge programme information where appropriate and ensure reported progress is evidence-based.\n\nLiaise with subcontractors to ensure their programmes and progress information are aligned with project requirements.\n\nDesign, Procurement & Commissioning\nMonitor M&E design and information release against programme requirements.\n\nTrack procurement of long-lead M&E equipment and materials.\n\nMonitor manufacturing, delivery and installation dates.\n\nIntegrate testing, commissioning, witnessing, inspection and handover activities into the programme.\n\nCoordinate commissioning and handover requirements with the project team.\n\nProgramme Risk & Change\nIdentify programme risks, constraints and opportunities.\n\nMaintain programme risk and mitigation information.\n\nAssess the programme impact of variations, design changes and delays.\n\nSupport extension-of-time and delay analysis activities by maintaining accurate programme records and contemporaneous information.\n\nMaintain clear records of programme revisions, changes and assumptions.\n\nEssential Experience & Qualifications\nProven experience as an M&E Planner, Mechanical & Electrical Planner, Construction Planner or similar role.\n\nExperience working on construction, building services or engineering projects.\n\nStrong understanding of mechanical and electrical construction activities and their sequencing.\n\nExperience developing and maintaining detailed project programmes.\n\nGood understanding of critical path, float, dependencies and programme logic.\n\nExperience working with M&E subcontractors and specialist suppliers.\n\nStrong understanding of construction project processes from design through to commissioning and handover.\n\nExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills.\n\nStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities.\n\nGood attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.\n\nSoftware\nEssential\nStrong knowledge of Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project.\n\nGood working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.\n\nDesirable\nExperience with Power BI or other project reporting tools.\n\nExperience with 4D planning/BIM.\n\nExperience using project collaboration/document management platforms.\n\nPersonal Attributes\nOrganised and methodical approach.\n\nStrong attention to detail.\n\nConfident communicator with the ability to challenge and influence.\n\nCommercially and technically aware.\n\nProactive in identifying issues before they affect project delivery.\n\nAble to work effectively under pressure and to tight
