Mechanical Engineer - Piping stress

Nature and Scope

We are looking for a Senior Piping Engineer with 8-10 years of experience in performing piping stress and flexibility

analysis:

• The ideal candidate will execute the work assigned by the Pipe Stress Lead Engineer, Ensure QC for compliance

with nuclear projects, makes use of 3D models (Navisworks).

• Liaise with other engineers like support and senior engineers for execution of the deliverables.
• Experience in nuclear pipe support calculation for the pipelines classified as seismic and safety.
• Experience in writing and verifying piping calculation notes and piping hypothesis notes.

Job Description

• Good Knowledge in piping analysis.
• Good analytical and planning skills.
• Minimum 5 years on undertaking piping engineering calculations.
• Carrying out the dimensioning of pipes and their supports.
• Carrying out counter-calculations of flexibility and support.
• Update the modifications made by the Client’s various services.
• Analyse and compare initial results with those modifications.
• Produce the associated calculation notes.
• Update calculations carried out by the Client’s various suppliers.
• Instruct modifications in relation to the Client’s various services.
• Working with the designers to implement modifications to 3D models.
• Exposure to ISO 9001 Processes and Procedures.

Language: Proficiency in English is a must. Knowledge of French is desirable.

Skills and Qualifications

• Minimum qualification: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Conversant with Piping Design and Engineering as per ASME/EN code, Understanding of PMS, VMS, CAESAR /

AUTOPIPE / PEPS and other tools like MS Office, Ability to interpret P&IDs for piping, Conversant with Navisworks

/ Smart Plant Review.
