Reporting to the Layout Engineering Manager, the Layout Integration Engineer will be responsible for development and delivery of integrated plant layouts across Fusion and Modular Nuclear programmes, including Small Modular Reactors (SMRs), Advanced Modular Reactors (AMRs) and Fusion projects.\nThe role combines plant layout engineering, piping layout, multidisciplinary integration, systems engineering awareness and CAD/BIM capability. The successful candidate will work closely with Process, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil & Structural, Architecture, HVAC, Fire, Human Factors and Systems Engineering disciplines to develop safe, constructable, operable and maintainable plant arrangements.\nThe Layout Integration Engineer will take ownership of assigned systems, buildings or plant areas and drive layout development from concept through detailed design.\nKey Responsibilities\nOwn layout development for assigned systems, buildings or plant areas.\nDevelop integrated equipment, piping, cable tray, access and maintenance layouts.\nInterpret and apply PFDs, P&IDs, equipment data sheets, line lists, requirements and engineering constraints.\nCapture and manage design assumptions, constraints and interfaces.\nDevelop layouts within 3D CAD/BIM environments.\nLead piping routing studies and plant integration activities within assigned scope areas.\nAct as the primary layout focal point for assigned work packages.\nCoordinate design activities across multiple engineering disciplines.\nLead multidisciplinary workshops, model reviews and layout reviews.\nIdentify clashes, interfaces and design conflicts and drive their resolution.\nEnsure layout solutions satisfy system, operational, safety, construction and maintenance requirements.\nProduce general arrangements, layout studies and engineering deliverables.\nAuthor technical reports, optioneering studies, design philosophies and engineering recommendations.\nPresent technical solutions and recommendations to stakeholders.\nSupport modularisation, construction and maintainability assessments.\nSupport requirements management and interface management activities.\nWhy Apply?\nJoin Assystem and become a key player in delivering critical nuclear projects that shape the future of energy.
