are looking for an experienced Risk Manager to join our project controls team and support the successful delivery of complex projects and programmes.\nThe successful candidate will have a strong background in project and programme risk management, with experience identifying, assessing and managing risks across the project lifecycle.\nWorking closely with Project Managers, Project Controls, Planning, Commercial, Cost and Engineering teams, you will provide effective risk management support and ensure that project risks, opportunities and mitigation actions are clearly understood, actively managed and appropriately reported.\nThis is a hands-on role suited to someone who is confident working with project teams and stakeholders and can translate risk information into clear, practical actions that support project delivery.\nKey Responsibilities\nManage the project risk management process from risk identification through to mitigation and close-out.\n\nFacilitate regular risk identification, assessment and review workshops with project teams and stakeholders.\n\nDevelop and maintain project and programme risk registers.\n\nEnsure risks are clearly defined, appropriately categorised and assigned to accountable owners.\n\nAssess and challenge risk probability, impact and exposure to ensure risks are consistently evaluated.\n\nWork with risk owners to develop effective mitigation and response plans.\n\nMonitor the progress and effectiveness of risk mitigation actions.\n\nIdentify emerging risks and ensure they are captured and communicated to the appropriate stakeholders.\n\nSupport the identification and management of opportunities as well as threats.\n\nUndertake qualitative and quantitative risk analysis where required.\n\nSupport schedule and cost risk analysis and ensure risk exposure is appropriately reflected in project forecasts.\n\nWork closely with Planning and Cost teams to understand the potential impact of risks on programme and budget.\n\nProvide regular risk reporting and analysis to Project Managers, Project Controls teams and senior stakeholders.\n\nProduce risk dashboards, reports and trend analysis highlighting key areas of exposure.\n\nMonitor changes in the project environment and assess their potential impact on the overall risk profile.\n\nEnsure risk management is integrated with change control, planning, cost, commercial and project controls processes.\n\nSupport project governance and risk reviews.\n\nMaintain appropriate risk management documentation and ensure a clear audit trail.\n\nPromote a proactive risk management culture across project teams.\n\nContribute to the development and continuous improvement of project risk management processes and procedures.\n\nAbout You\nWe are looking for a proactive and analytical Risk Manager with experience working within a project or programme environment.\nYou will ideally have:\nProven experience in project or programme risk management.\n\nExperience working within project controls, infrastructure, construction, engineering, energy or major capital projects.\n\nGood understanding of risk management principles, processes and methodologies.\n\nExperience developing and maintaining risk registers.\n\nExperience facilitating risk workshops with multidisciplinary project teams.\n\nStrong understanding of probability, impact, risk exposure and mitigation strategies.\n\nExperience working with cost and schedule risks.\n\nGood understanding of the relationship between risk, cost, programme, change and project delivery.\n\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\n\nExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills.\n\nAbility to challenge project teams constructively and ensure risks are actively managed.\n\nStrong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple risks and projects simultaneously.\n\nGood understanding of project governance and reporting
