are looking for an experienced Senior Planner to join our team and support the successful planning and delivery of complex energy, grid and power supply projects.\nThe successful candidate will have a strong background in project planning within the power, utilities, energy or infrastructure sectors, with a good understanding of grid connections, power supply infrastructure and the interfaces between engineering, construction, procurement and project delivery.\nYou will be responsible for developing and maintaining robust project programmes, monitoring progress, identifying risks and dependencies, and providing clear planning information to project teams and senior stakeholders.\nKey Responsibilities\nDevelop, manage and maintain detailed project programmes from concept and design through to construction, commissioning and handover.\n\nWork closely with engineering, construction, commercial, procurement and project management teams to ensure programme alignment.\n\nDevelop integrated schedules covering grid connections, power supply, electrical infrastructure, civils, procurement, construction and commissioning activities.\n\nMonitor actual progress against baseline programmes and identify delays, risks, constraints and critical path activities.\n\nProvide regular programme updates, progress reports and analysis to project and senior management teams.\n\nUndertake programme impact assessments and support the development of mitigation and recovery plans.\n\nManage interfaces and dependencies between contractors, suppliers, utilities, network operators and other project stakeholders.\n\nSupport project teams with planning, sequencing and resource requirements.\n\nReview contractor and supplier programmes, challenging assumptions and ensuring alignment with the overall project delivery strategy.\n\nMaintain programme governance, including baselines, change control, milestones and progress measurement.\n\nIdentify opportunities to improve programme performance and provide practical recommendations to the project team.\n\nContribute to risk and opportunity management, ensuring programme risks are properly reflected in project schedules.\n\nSupport reporting for senior stakeholders, providing clear and concise commentary on programme performance.\n\nAbout You\nWe are looking for someone who combines strong planning expertise with a practical understanding of delivering power, grid or electrical infrastructure projects.\nYou will ideally have:\nSignificant experience working as a Planner or Senior Planner within the energy, power, utilities, infrastructure or construction sector.\n\nA proven background in grid connections, power supply, electrical infrastructure or related projects.\n\nStrong experience developing and managing complex, multi-disciplinary programmes.\n\nExcellent knowledge of planning methodologies, programme controls and critical path analysis.\n\nExperience using Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project.\n\nExperience reviewing contractor programmes and managing programme interfaces.\n\nStrong understanding of project delivery processes, including design, procurement, construction and commissioning.\n\nExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills.\n\nThe ability to communicate programme information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.\n\nConfidence working with project managers, engineers, contractors, suppliers and senior leadership.\n\nA proactive approach, with the ability to identify potential issues before they affect project delivery.\n\nDesirable Experience\nExperience in one or more of the following would be advantageous:\nElectricity transmission or distribution networks.\n\nGrid connection projects.\n\nSubstations and HV infrastructure.\n\nPower generation or energy storage projects.\n\nRenewable energy projects.\n\nData centre power infrastructure.\n\nUtility infrastructure and network upgrades.\n\nHV/MV/LV
