The ideal candidate will have experience working with antennas, RF equipment, frequency conversion systems, and related technologies.\nThis role is responsible for the installation, maintenance, integration, testing, and troubleshooting of satellite gateway systems while supporting operational reliability across multiple sites. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and a collaborative approach to supporting both local and remote operations. \nKey Responsibilities\nInstall, configure, and maintain satellite communication gateway infrastructure supporting low-earth orbit (LEO) satellite networks.\nDiagnose and troubleshoot gateway components, including antennas, RF systems, frequency converters, and associated hardware.\nPerform testing and analysis using RF diagnostic tools and measurement equipment.\nConduct integration, commissioning, and validation of gateway components to ensure optimal system performance.\nMonitor system health and identify corrective actions to minimize operational disruptions.\nProvide remote technical support to field locations and operational teams.\nDocument maintenance activities, system configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.\nCollaborate with cross-functional engineering and operations teams to resolve technical issues.\nSupport equipment inventory management and asset tracking.\nTravel domestically and internationally to support installations, upgrades, and maintenance activities as required.\nQualifications\nEducation\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related technical field.\nRelevant satellite communications certifications (e.g., VSAT, SatCom, or similar) preferred. \nExperience\nA minimum of 3 years of experience working as a Field Engineer, Satellite Technician, Network Engineer, or similar technical role.\nExperience supporting communications infrastructure, RF systems, or related technologies. \nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience working with satellite communication systems and gateway infrastructure.\nKnowledge of RF technologies, antenna systems, and frequency conversion equipment.\nProficiency using RF test and measurement equipment, including spectrum analyzers and signal generators.\nExperience performing system integration, commissioning, and testing activities.\nFamiliarity with networking concepts, IP-based communications, and telecommunications infrastructure.\nExperience supporting geographically distributed or remote operational sites.\nStrong written and verbal English communication skills.\nAbility to work independently in dynamic and fast-paced environments. \nSoft Skills\nStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities.\nExcellent troubleshooting and critical-thinking skills.\nStrong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nStrong organizational and time-management abilities.\nAbility to adapt quickly to changing priorities and operational requirements.\nHigh attention to detail and commitment to quality.\nSelf-motivated with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues. \nTechnology Stack\nRadio Frequency (RF) test and measurement equipment.\nSpectrum analyzers and related diagnostic tools.\nSatellite communications equipment and infrastructure.\nNetworking hardware and configuration tools.\nGeneral electronic testing and troubleshooting equipment.\nOperating systems and remote support applications.\nDocumentation and ticketing systems.\nNetwork monitoring and diagnostic utilities. \nPhysical Requirements\nAbility to work in a standard office environment and use a computer for extended periods.\nAbility to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.\nWillingness and ability to travel frequently, including domestic and international locations.\nAbility to work at remote technical sites and in varying environmental conditions.\nCapability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb ladders for extended periods during installation and maintenance activities.\nAbility to safely operate hand tools, electronic testing equipment, and technical hardware.\nValid passport and ability to travel internationally, if required.\nAbility to work outside regular business hours when supporting critical operational activities.\nThis job description may not be inclusive to the duties and responsibilities listed.
