Our engineers and space scientists are on a mission to eliminate the connectivity gaps faced by today’s five billion mobile subscribers and finally bring broadband to the billions who remain unconnected.\nPosition Overview\nWe are seeking a Gateway Antenna Engineer to monitor the connectivity and operational status of global gateway and telemetry stations, providing service assurance through real-time monitoring and incident resolution. This role troubleshoots anomalies and network failures, performs preventive and corrective maintenance on satellite teleport systems and infrastructure, and provides first-line, customer-facing technical support. This person collaborates closely with cross-functional teams for escalations, upgrades, and system changes, and operates fault management systems to track network health and performance. \nKey Responsibilities:\nMonitor connectivity and operational status of global gateway and telemetry stations.\nTroubleshoot anomalies and network failures, conduct root-cause analysis, and escalate as required.\nMaintain detailed incident documentation, manage trouble tickets, and generate reports.\nEnsure service assurance through real-time monitoring and incident resolution.\nProvide first-line, customer-facing technical support (phone, email, chat).\nPerform preventive and corrective maintenance on satellite teleport systems and infrastructure.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams for escalations, upgrades, and system changes.\nOperate and maintain fault management systems to track network health and performance. \nQualifications \nEducation:\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Telecommunications, or a related field.\nExperience:\nMinimum 3 years' experience in Satellite or Cellular Communications.\nHands-on experience with RF systems, high-power amplifiers, converters, antenna drive systems, and baseband equipment.\nSolid knowledge of IP networks, fiber optics, modems, multiplexers, and broadband systems.\nProficiency in remote monitoring tools, system diagnostics, and remote desktop platforms.\nAbility to troubleshoot complex systems with minimal supervision.\nDemonstrated experience with monitoring and fault management tools. \nPreferred Qualifications: \nSoft Skills:\nStrong communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.\nFlexible and adaptable in a dynamic, fast-paced operational environment. \nTechnology Stack:\nRF systems, high-power amplifiers, converters, and antenna drive systems.\nBaseband equipment, modems, and multiplexers.\nIP networks and fiber optic broadband systems.\nRemote monitoring, system diagnostics, and remote desktop platforms.\nFault management systems for tracking network health and performance. \nPhysical Requirements \nMust be available for on-site work at the Lanham/DC office.\nAbility to lift up to 50 lbs.\nAbility to climb ladders and work in confined spaces or elevated locations to access antenna and RF equipment.\nAbility to work rotating shifts, on-call, or outside standard business hours to support continuous gateway and telemetry station monitoring.\nThis job description may not be inclusive to the duties and responsibilities listed.
