Our engineers and space scientists are on a mission to eliminate the connectivity gaps faced by today’s five billion mobile subscribers and finally bring broadband to the billions who remain unconnected.\nPosition Overview\nAST SpaceMobile is currently seeking a skilled Information Technology (IT) Technician to support end users, maintain enterprise hardware and software systems, and contribute to the reliability and efficiency of IT operations. This role is hands-on and fast-paced, ideal for someone who excels in troubleshooting, customer service, and adapting quickly in a growing environment.\nKey Responsibilities\nProvide technical support to end users for workstations, servers, and mobile devices (hardware and software).\nSupport and maintain Office 365 applications for users.\nPrepare, deploy, and ship new hardware to remote sites and end users.\nAssist with deployment of on-premises hardware including routers, switches, Ethernet cabling, servers, workstations, monitors, and printers.\nManage user accounts in on-premises Active Directory and cloud-based identity providers (Azure AD, LastPass).\nPerform software installations, patches, and upgrades to maintain system security and integrity.\nTroubleshoot issues to isolate and diagnose common hardware and software problems.\nCreate and maintain accurate systems documentation.\nEscalate complex issues to subject matter experts when required.\nPerform other related duties as assigned.\nQualifications\nEducation:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in IT or related field preferred.\nIT-related certifications (Microsoft, CompTIA, VMware) are a plus.\nExperience:\nA minimum of 2+ years in desktop support, help desk, or customer support roles.\nExperience supporting Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office in a technical support capacity.\nHands-on experience with hardware maintenance including racking servers, deploying workstations, and setting up peripheral devices.\nGeneral knowledge of networking fundamentals (OSI model, TCP/IP, protocols, routing, firewalls).\nAbility to work in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.\nFlexibility to participate in on-call rotations as needed.\nPreferred Qualifications\nCertifications such as Microsoft, CompTIA, VMware.\nExperience with virtualization technologies (Hyper-V, VMware).\nFamiliarity with cloud IaaS platforms (AWS or Azure).\nExperience with Cisco Meraki network infrastructure.\nExperience supporting macOS, iOS, and Android devices.\nSoft Skills\nStrong interpersonal and communication skills.\nProven ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nMeticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy of documentation and deliverables.\nCustomer service mindset and ability to learn new technologies quickly.\nTechnology Stack\nOperating Systems: Windows, macOS, iOS, Android.\nIdentity & Access: Active Directory, Azure AD, LastPass.\nProductivity & Collaboration: Office 365, Teams.\nNetworking: Routers, switches, firewalls, TCP/IP, Meraki environments.\nVirtualization: Hyper-V, VMware.\nCloud Services: AWS, Azure.\nHardware: Servers, workstations, printers, mobile devices, cabling.\nPhysical Requirements\nAbility to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs.\nRack servers, run cables, crawl under desks, and work with hardware in office and data center environments.\nAbility to work in a standard office environment and use a computer for extended periods.\nThis job description may not be inclusive of all duties and responsibilities.
