This position is responsible for ensuring inventory integrity, maintaining accurate ERP records, supporting production readiness, and leading a team of inventory professionals in a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment. The Inventory Control Supervisor will collaborate closely with Planning, Production Control, Receiving, Procurement, Manufacturing, Quality, and Warehouse Operations to ensure uninterrupted material flow and inventory accuracy.\nKey Responsibilities\nSupervise daily inventory control activities including cycle counts, inventory audits, material transfers, and inventory reconciliations.\nEnsure inventory records accurately reflect physical inventory through disciplined transaction management.\nInvestigate inventory discrepancies and perform root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.\nMonitor inventory adjustments and ensure proper approvals and documentation.\nMaintain inventory accuracy targets across warehouse and production locations.\nOversee inventory location management and ensure proper storage and identification of materials.\nEnsure replenishment of consumable materials and eliminate shortages.\nExecute and complete cycle count and inventory audits as directed.\nReview cycle count results and implement corrective actions for inventory variances.\nCoordinate with Production Control and Manufacturing teams to ensure material availability for production schedules.\nMonitor material movements between receiving, warehouse, stockrooms, and production areas.\nComplete timely processing of inventory transactions within ERP/MRP systems to include temperature sensitive material.\nTeam Leadership\nEnsure compliance with inventory control procedures and aerospace quality requirements.\nDrive continuous improvement initiatives focused on inventory management and warehouse efficiency.\nLead, coach, and develop Material Handlers.\nAssign daily work activities and monitor team performance.\nConduct employee training in inventory processes, ERP transactions, and company procedures.\nFoster a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement.\nMaintain KPI dashboards.\nResolve discrepancies and track transaction accuracy metrics.\nSupport Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.\nQualifications\nEducation\nBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.\nEquivalent combination of education and relevant operational leadership experience may be considered.\nExperience\n5+ years of experience in inventory management, supply chain operations, warehouse operations, manufacturing operations, or logistics.\n2+ years of leadership experience managing inventory control, inventory planning, warehouse inventory, or supply chain teams.\nStrong knowledge of inventory control principles, cycle counting, and warehouse operations.\nExperience using ERP/MRP systems for inventory management.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nExcellent organizational and communication abilities.\nAbility to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience working within aerospace, satellite manufacturing, automotive, electronics, defense, semiconductor, or advanced manufacturing environments.\nExperience managing inventory to include high-value, serialized, and lot-controlled components.\nExperience supporting lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or continuous improvement initiatives.\nSoft Skills\nStrong leadership and team development capabilities.\nExcellent organizational and operational planning skills.\nStrong problem-solving and process improvement mindset.\nExcellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.\nHigh attention to detail and commitment to operational excellence.\nAbility to operate effectively in fast-paced, rapidly scaling manufacturing environments.\nTechnology Stack\nERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or equivalent)\nWarehouse Management Systems (WMS)\nInventory management platforms\nMicrosoft Excel (advanced reporting and analysis)\nMicrosoft Teams and Office Suite\nBarcode scanning and inventory tracking systems\nSupply Chain Management software platforms\nReporting and KPI dashboard tools\nPhysical Requirements\nAbility to work in warehouse, manufacturing, and industrial operational environments.\nAbility to regularly walk warehouse floors and oversee receiving dock operations.\nOccasional lifting of materials up to 25 pounds.\nAbility to travel periodically between operational sites as required.\nAbility to work in fast-paced production and industrial environments with varying operational demands.\nAST SpaceMobile is an Equal Opportunity, at will Employer;
