Our engineers and space scientists are on a mission to eliminate the connectivity gaps faced by today’s five billion mobile subscribers and finally bring broadband to the billions who remain unconnected.\nPosition Overview\nWe are seeking a highly organized, dependable, and detail-oriented Manufacturing Production Scheduler in support of large-scale manufacturing activities across multiple operational sites. This position is responsible for overseeing production scheduling strategy, coordinating closely with the Planning team, managing production order release schedules, and ensuring alignment between material availability, manufacturing capacity, and production execution.\nKey Responsibilities:\nDevelop, maintain, and communicate production schedules.\nMonitor work orders, production progress, capacity constraints, material shortages, and schedule performance.\nCoordinate with Manufacturing, Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Planning, and Program Management.\nIdentify schedule risks and proactively communicate impacts and recovery plans.\nMaintain accurate ERP production scheduling data.\nReview MRP requirements and assist with production work order management.\nParticipate in and support daily production meetings.\nPrepare production reports, dashboards, and management presentations.\nAnalyze schedule adherence, backlog, capacity, and on-time delivery.\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives.\nTrack action items and ensure commitments are completed.\nQualifications:\nEducation:\nBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Business Administration, or related technical discipline preferred.\nEquivalent combination of education and directly related manufacturing scheduling experience may be considered.\nExperience:\n2-3+ years of experience in manufacturing, production planning, scheduling, supply chain, or a related environment.\nStrong ERP knowledge.\nStrong Excel and data-analysis skills.\nExcellent verbal and written communication.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities.\nDemonstrated reliability, professionalism, and accountability.\nPreferred Qualifications: \nAerospace or defense manufacturing experience.\nERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or equivalent)\nExperience with MRP, capacity planning, and production control.\n Soft Skills:\nStrong organizational and time management skills.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.\nAccountability and ownership.\nProfessional and dependable work ethic.\nPunctual and reliable.\nStrong attention to detail.\nAnalytical and critical-thinking ability.\nProblem solving mindset.\nAbility to prioritize competing requirements.\nAbility to remain calm under pressure.\nAdaptability in a changing manufacturing environment.\nCollaborative and team oriented.\nConfident meeting participation.\nAbility to communicate difficult information professionally.\nProactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.\nAbility to build positive relationships across departments.\nHard Skills:\nManufacturing and production scheduling.\nProduction planning and production control.\nERP/MRP systems knowledge.\nSAP or NetSuite experience preferred but not required.\nMicrosoft Excel: advanced formulas, Pivot Tables, Power Query, Macros, VBA.\nData analysis and reporting.\nMicrosoft PowerPoint and professional presentation development.\nTableau and/or Power BI.\nCapacity planning and workload analysis.\nWork order management.\nKPI development and performance reporting.\nData visualization and dashboard development.\nBasic understanding of aerospace manufacturing processes and quality requirements.\n Physical Requirements\nAbility to work in manufacturing and industrial production environments.\nAbility to regularly engage with production teams on manufacturing floors to monitor schedule execution.\nAbility to sit for extended periods while analyzing production schedules and operational planning data.\nOccasional travel between operational sites as business needs require.\nAbility to work in fast-paced manufacturing environments with shifting operational priorities and aggressive production deadlines.\nAST SpaceMobile is an Equal Opportunity, at will Employer; employment is governed on the basis of merit, competence and qualifications and will not be influenced in any manner by race, color, religion, gender, national origin/ethnicity, veteran status, disability status, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, mental or physical disability or any other legally protected status.\nThis job description may not be inclusive to the duties and responsibilities listed.
