The Production Manager supports composites fabrication, structures assembly, and SLT operations while driving continuous improvement across the production environment.\nDuties and Responsibilities: \nOversight of front-line leadership and indirect employees' performance and KPI goals\nOversee and improve safety protocols and skills training as business growth continues\nDemonstrated attendance management for a high-volume production environment while maintaining a positive and engaged environment \nMotivating, supporting, and providing guidance to production staff\nEnsuring all safety and health standards are met to maintain an accident-free environment\nCommunicating regularly with upper management regarding issues impacting production\nEvaluating machine and equipment resources to ensure continued production and minimal downtime\nEstablishing a balance between increased productivity and reduced operational costs\nSetting productivity goals for each manufacturing team\nDeveloping workflow policies and procedures that improve efficiency without compromising safety or quality\nEnsuring adequate scheduling of staff and alignment with production plans\nSupporting composites, structures, and precision assembly operations\nMaintaining schedule discipline and driving accountability across production teams\nCollaborating cross-functionally with engineering, quality, supply chain, and operations to resolve production bottlenecks\nSupporting continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and structured problem-solving methodologies\nEnsuring compliance with internal standards, regulatory requirements, and quality management systems\nManage multiple production shifts (i.e., 4x10/3x12) \nDemonstrated ability to communicate effectively across multiple sites, shifts and departments across AST SpaceMobile\nMinimum Qualifications: \nBachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, or a related technical field; equivalent experience considered\n3+ years of experience in production planning, manufacturing operations, or assembly environments\nExperience supporting composites, structures, or precision assembly operations\nKnowledge of quality management systems and ISO standards\nAt least 2 years of supervisory experience\nMust be a U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident, or possess valid U.S. work authorization\nPreferred Qualifications: \nExperience in aerospace, satellite, avionics, or high-precision manufacturing\nFamiliarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies\nStrong communication, organizational, and cross-functional collaboration skills\nProficiency with ERP/MRP, MES, and Microsoft Office Suite\nDemonstrated ability to support production teams, drive accountability, and maintain schedule discipline\nStrong project management skills\nProven record of training employees in safety and production\nWorking knowledge of EPA and OSHA regulations\nPhysical Requirements: \nProlonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer\nAbility to traverse the production facility\nAbility to lift 15 pounds at times\nTravel to different locations for business needs and meetings \nAdditional Information: \nThis job description may not be inclusive to the duties and responsibilities listed.
