Our engineers and space scientists are on a mission to eliminate the connectivity gaps faced by today’s five billion mobile subscribers and finally bring broadband to the billions who remain unconnected.\nPosition Summary:\nThe Electrical and Electronics Test Technician is responsible for performing functional, environmental, and diagnostic testing on electrical and electronic components, assemblies, and systems. This role ensures all products meet design specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. The technician will work closely with engineers to identify issues, troubleshoot failures, and maintain test equipment.\nKey Responsibilities:\nPerform electrical and electronic testing of components, subassemblies, and final products according to engineering specifications and test procedures.\nOperate and maintain automated and manual test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and specialized test setups.\nConduct functional, continuity, insulation resistance, hipot, and performance testing.\nAssist in environmental testing, including thermal cycling, vibration, burn-in, and other reliability assessments.\nInterpret schematics, wiring diagrams, test plans, and technical documents to execute test procedures.\nIdentify, isolate, and troubleshoot electrical and electronic failures; document findings and recommend corrective actions.\nRecord test results accurately in logs, reports, or databases to ensure traceability and compliance.\nSupport engineering teams during product development, validation, and qualification activities.\nMaintain calibration, safety, and operational readiness of test stations and equipment.\nFollow all ESD, safety, and cleanroom protocols where applicable.\nAssist in developing and improving test fixtures, setups, and documentation.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and improve product reliability.\nQualifications:\nAssociate degree or technical diploma in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, or related field (or equivalent hands-on experience).\n2+ years of experience in electrical/electronic test environments preferred.\nStrong knowledge of electronic components, analog/digital circuits, and electrical measurement principles.\nHands-on experience with test equipment (oscilloscope, DMM, hipot tester, function generator, etc.).\nAbility to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.\nProficiency with MS Office and familiarity with test data collection software or ERP/MES systems.\nStrong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.\nIPC, J-STD-001, or related electronics assembly/testing certifications are a plus.\nFamiliarity with ISO 9001, AS9100, or aerospace/defense/military standards is desirable.\nKey Competencies:\nAttention to detail and quality-focused mindset.\nExcellent manual dexterity and ability to work with fine-pitch electronics.\nStrong communication and documentation skills.\nAbility to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing or engineering environment.\nAST SpaceMobile is an Equal Opportunity, at will Employer;
