Our engineers and space scientists are on a mission to eliminate the connectivity gaps faced by today’s five billion mobile subscribers and finally bring broadband to the billions who remain unconnected.\nPosition Overview\nThe Front Desk Security Officer is responsible for executing daily physical security operations at primary facility entry points within an aerospace manufacturing environment. This role focuses on controlling ingress and egress, enforcing access governance, protecting export-controlled and IP-sensitive areas, and ensuring the safety of employees, visitors, and high-value assets including prototypes and flight hardware.\nThe position serves as the first line of defense for facility security and operates in close coordination with Corporate Security, EH&S, Facilities, HR, IT, and Program Leadership to maintain controlled access, regulatory compliance, and life safety standards.\nBase Pay: DOE\nThis position is assigned to 10 pm to 8 am shifts Mon thru Thurs.\nThe location will be at one of our four facilities located between Odessa and Midland.\nWhat You'll Do:\nFront Desk & Access Control Operations\nMonitor and control primary entry points to manufacturing, R&D, test, and corporate facilities.\nVerify identity and credentials of employees, contractors, visitors, customers, and vendors prior to granting access.\nEnforce badge policies, escort requirements, and visitor management procedures.\nIssue and collect temporary badges in accordance with security protocols.\nMaintain accurate visitor logs and access records.\nMonitor CCTV feeds and access control systems for unauthorized activity.\nImmediately escalate suspicious behavior, policy violations, or access anomalies to Corporate Security leadership.\nIngress and Egress Enforcement\nEnsure all individuals entering restricted or program-controlled areas have proper authorization.\nEnforce zoning, tiered access, and export-controlled area restrictions.\nSupport onboarding and deprovisioning processes by verifying badge activation and deactivation status.\nPrevent tailgating and unauthorized piggybacking at controlled entry points.\nConduct routine badge and credential audits at entry locations.\nIntellectual Property (IP) and Asset Protection\nSupport physical safeguards protecting export-controlled technologies, proprietary designs, trade secrets, prototypes, tooling, and flight hardware.\nEnforce policies related to secure material handling and restricted area access.\nMonitor movement of sensitive materials entering or leaving the facility in accordance with established procedures.\nImmediately report suspected unauthorized photography, recording, or removal of sensitive materials.\nIncident Response Support\nServe as the initial response point for security-related incidents at facility entry points.\nInitiate lockdown procedures when directed by Security or during emergency situations.\nSupport evacuation and shelter-in-place procedures while maintaining accountability of restricted areas.\nPreserve incident documentation, visitor logs, and badge data to support investigations.\nCoordinate with EH&S and Corporate Security during emergencies affecting life safety or controlled spaces.\nCompliance and Documentation\nMaintain strict adherence to ITAR/EAR and export-controlled area requirements.\nComplete daily activity logs, incident reports, and shift turnover documentation.\nParticipate in security audits and inspections as required.\nWhat You Bring:\nEducation\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required.\nAssociate degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, or related field preferred.\nExperience\n2+ years of experience in corporate security, access control, or front desk security operations, preferably in aerospace, defense, or advanced manufacturing environments.\nExperience working in export-controlled, restricted, or high-security facilities preferred.\nFamiliarity with access control systems and CCTV monitoring platforms.\nSoft Skills\nStrong situational awareness and attention to detail.\nProfessional demeanor and customer-facing communication skills.\nAbility to remain calm and decisive during high-stress situations.\nHigh integrity and discretion handling sensitive environments.\nAbility to consistently enforce policies without deviation.\nTechnology Stack\nElectronic Access Control Systems (badge readers, biometric systems)\nCCTV and video monitoring platforms\nVisitor management systems\nIncident reporting systems\nMicrosoft Office Suite\nPreferred Qualifications\nPrior experience in aerospace or defense manufacturing environments.\nKnowledge of ITAR/EAR-controlled environments.\nExperience supporting emergency response or incident reporting processes.\nMilitary or law enforcement background preferred but not required.\nPhysical Requirements & Work Environment:\nAbility to work in a manufacturing and warehouse environment with frequent standing, walking, and movement throughout the shift.\nAbility to sit, stand, and/or walk for extended periods of time.\nAbility to use hands and fingers to perform
